My experience was just like those described below. We've repeatedly "given another chance" to this place for years, and each time I must forget how bad it was before. Never again. The lady was yelling extremely loudly (okay... I would say screaming...) when I was placing my order to people in the background, at length. Like I would order something, she would yell at someone angrily, then say "What did you say?" after I had placed part of my order. I thought I should hang up in that very moment, but my faith in humanity crippled me yet again.
After I hung up, I told my husband there was no way that they would have our order correct. And as my stellar predictive skills foretold, my entire order was WILDLY incorrect. We had no condiments, no sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken. My husband tried to discuss what cost so much (they charged us for 3 extra eggrolls), and the guy just showed him the order and stated that it was what I said and expected him to pay without correcting the food. Just to recap: **Extremely rude on the phone **Acts as if the customer must have been incorrect **We received extra food that we didn't order, but paid for. They made everything combos, when I explicitly stated I didn't want fried rice with my lo mein because that is carb redundance. **No condiments at all **No sweet and sour sauce, rendering my stepson's meal inedible
I am super flexible and okay with most situations, and even in the face of bad service, I usually don't leave a review, but this was crazy. We spent over $40.00 for less-than-mediocre food. I know it is obvious from my post, but I will be really mad about this for a long time. Don't go here. Order from...
Read moreI have tried the food at this restaurant on and off for 17 years always thinking maybe it’ll be better the next time. I tried to support locally owned businesses. Tried it last week and again this week and I won’t be going back ever. I know their food handling must be horrible in the back. Last week I had crab Rangoon that were horrible and I did not get the number that they printed I would get on the menu – therefore it was really overpriced, and the wonton skins were so thick and chewy -they were not Crisp. The hot and sour soup was ok. Szechuan chicken was Not terrific but ok. The fried rice is always terrible. This week I got wonton soup that I could not eat – the wonton skins were so tough I could not chew them. The beef with Chinese vegetables was horrible -only six pieces of beef and it was tough. The only vegetable in it was bok choy - and 3 pea pods - Worst ever bamboo shoots- they were wood!! I had to remove them. The chicken and cashews was the worst I ever had. Huge stringy slices of chicken thigh including the fat and 6 cashews! I pulled the woody vegetables out of that dish as well! Sorry this got so long. I’m a retired registered dietitian so I consider myself a pretty good judge of food quality. I will never go back to try this again. I also feel That the math does Not add up to what you expect – i.e. Overcharged . Eat at your own risk! I also agree with the reaction in earlier comments-You have to run to the bathroom...
Read moreMe and my family (Grandparents, Aunt and Uncle, and my father) have been going for about 10+ years and the owners remember and chat with us: fair pricings for today's market, a lot of food for your money compared to competitors that will charge you the same or more for lower quantities, quick, and of course great tasting. I always get Shrimp w. Mixed Vegetables/Sweet and Sour Chicken with apps' like Fried Wontons or Fried Dumplings and I'm never disappointed and never had a problem that wasn't resolved simply and quickly.
I'd be hard pressed to ever find another Chinese place close to their overall quality and dedication to staying open through...
