Normally when I write a review about restaurants it's generally negative. The exact opposite is true here. We are locals and this is the first time we have had breakfast here. When we first walked in we were greeted by two smiling ladies! I jokingly asked for a non-smoking seat, the hostess didn't waste a second and came back - "with an oceanfront view?". I knew I was going to like this place. Our waitress-Miss Barbara, was outstanding. She wasted no time in taking our drink, and food order. I ordered eggs over medium, sliced/cubed potatoes, one pancake, two slices of toast-not cut, and the sausage links. The food was brought to the table in the perfect amount of time. The eggs, along with the potatoes and toast were absolutely perfect. No deduction because the potatoes were not scalding hot as I didn't ask for them that way. I did ask her to take them back and heat them up a little-Miss Barb asked me-temperature hot or spicy hot. I told her temperature hot. Hands down THE BEST potatoes I have had on the Grand Strand in 6 years, they actually boil them first then cut them into huge cube sized bits and I ordered them with the onions-perfection! Eggs were not slimy, but the yolk was runny-perfect. And the pancake, absolutely delicious-warm syrup and REAL BUTTER, not that garbage margarine so many other higher end restaurants use. My wife remarked to me, looks like we found a new breakfast spot. Oh BTW- check out the eclairs on the way out-I didn't get one this time but next time it's a definite! If I had to come up with one negative, it would be the location. It's right on the busiest intersection in all of Myrtle Beach, Robert edge and Rt 17, but if you go early, you can beat the traffic. DEFINITELY...

As a seasoned North Myrtle Beach local, I've seen my fair share of pancake joints along the breakfast boulevard. But with such a scramble of choices, I usually end up waffling and skip trying any. Today, I flipped the script! With my wife being gluten-intolerant, our breakfast spots are usually toast. But at Sizzling Stacks Pancake House, she was grinning like the cat that got the cream, thanks to their gluten-free galore.
Curious about Sizzling Stacks' sizzling reviews, we decided to roll out of our bread... I mean bed, and give it a whirl. Stepping in, we were wowed by the spotless, spacious eatery. Plus, we got served by Nicey, the most egg-ceptional, sunny-side-up waitress ever! She mixed in her magic, whisking away any dining dilemmas that usually poach our joy at other spots.
If you're plotting a course to Sizzling Stacks, bring an appetite as big as a bear's! The chow is out of this world, and they dish out breakfasts fresher than a morning breeze, not the typical frozen flapjacks. And talk about portion sizes – they're as big as a brunch buffet, perfect for a snack-attack later.
A tiny grumble: the restrooms could use a bit more sparkle. But that's just nitpicking; it's not enough to pancake us away from our now-traditional Friday fry-up date. Sizzling Stacks is more than just another stop on the pancake parade – it's a place that truly whisks you away with its memorable meals. And with Nicey, she's the only waitress we'll be ordering sunny side up...
Read moreAbsolutely the most horrible service and embarrassing experience we have ever had!!! We politely asked about our wait as many groups of 4 and 6 were consistently being seated before us that arrived after. We are a group of 8 and simply wanted to make sure we hadn't been removed from the list and let her know that we don't mind pushing tables together for the kids like they were doing for the other groups. Paulette, the host, literally yelled at us in the front lobby, and other guests were looking and asking questions because she made such a scene! Paulette continued yelling she had been doing this for years AT us. Then proceeded to storm around the restaurant saying we were 'pissing her off' and she didn't care. After much embarrassment, my family walked out while I wanted to ask the manager George what was being done since we couldn't get sat and Paulette was still standing in the middle of the restaurant talking very loudly about us and showing out. I strongly suggest anyone eat ANYWHERE else!!! If this is acceptable and allowed to continue while you stand in front waiting until you have no choice but to leave, this location should be shut down immediately. There is never a reason to yell at a customer and storm around degrading people like that period. They do not value their customers or respect people in general at this location and there are other places I suggest you give your business to. Plantation pancake house just down the road is delicious and has the most...
