I wasn’t able to try the food because the service was awful. I came in tonight with my family, one family member has significant cognitive impairment. She is 38 years old however, has the thinking and behavior of someone who is 8. The fans were on so loud that she couldn’t speak, then one woman from the back with braids commented under her breath (but loud enough we could hear her through the fans) that she “didn’t need to yell”. Maybe try a little harder to make the customer happy instead? Or at least for the customer to be able to communicate with the person making their food?
The woman taking our order was instructed by each person in my party about dairy and gluten in the food due to severe allergies to both, she didn’t respond or give any indication that she heard anyone, then became upset (by aggressively stating that she heard us) when I stepped in to clarify. Or maybe she did respond the first 2-3 times, but no one could actually hear. Who knows.
Either way, getting rude about it doesn’t feel appropriate. Yes, my mentally challenged family member was difficult to deal with since she couldn’t actually order over the noise, does that mean we bully someone who has disabilities? Better yet, what if that was an actual 8 year old giving an order, would you respond the same way? Probably not. Either way, I couldn’t believe this woman was getting passive aggressive with a mentally challenged customer. THEN with the person trying to support her (me).
I don’t understand where the phrase “the customer is always right” went wrong here. These women appear to have a hard time serving other people, perhaps you should get a different job. As a person who has done their fair share of direct customer service I’m impressed that they actually still have jobs there. It is hard enough for my family member to find a place to eat with her allergies, thanks for making her feel comfortable ladies.
I ended up ending the order and we went to a Jersey Mike’s about ten minutes away to find the service was wonderful. What a difference that was! Very grateful we left to find a more positive experience.
Oh! I forgot to mention: on the way out after I stated that we were going to order somewhere else and began to walk out, one of the kind women said stated quite loudly “thank you, have a good night”.
It would have been awesome if you’d have that sort of enthusiasm from the beginning. Maybe you’d have more customers and less...
Read moreWe came here today 09/14/25 we were told they were out of several items, they couldn’t toast the bread. We watched several customers leave because of that. The phone rang and the one kid said “ ughhhhhh omg what now” . The place was absolutely disgusting. Trash everywhere , boxes everywhere . Then the girl got mad when we asked where we could sit since all the tables had boxes. The kids working there said, “well we had a truck load come in and we have over 200 sandwiches to make.” The girl with glasses was pissed that we asked to have a table cleared off so we could sit down and eat our food. We won’t be back, and we are locals!! We will take my business somewhere else. The kids that are working there complained the entire time about everything about there job. We own a cleaning business here in Myrtle beach and I would be extremely upset if I heard my employees talking the way these kids did in front of customers . I’m posting pictures of this place to show what we walked into. I’m guessing it’s the same owners as the other Jersey mikes near toastys restaurant. Because that place is trashed and we were there when the owner came in and he didn’t care at all. He was super nice, but didn’t care about how the restaurant looked. We own a cleaning business so if you need some cleaning services please reach out to us!! We are a five star company and we take are business and our cleaning standards to the highest level! We clean over 200 properties here in Myrtle beach. It kills us to see places like this because employees and owners don’t...
Read moreThe girl with the blonde braids and tattoos, I think her name is Chelly or Shelby? She is very rude. Heard her slander a customer over a misunderstanding to someone on her cell phone. She also rolled her eyes when a new employee she was training asked her a question. I heard the new girl (2 tone glasses and dark hair) ask a question 3 whole times (clear as day from behind the glass and my hearing is not great) before she even answered. Girl with the glasses was super sweet and definitely is trying her best to learn. Didn't deserve the attitude out of her trainer or for her to snap at her/roll her eyes.
Everyone else I've ever encountered at this store has been amazing, especially the male manager. 👍 Ive received great service from everyone so far but her, and this isn't the first time I've seen this Shel person in a sour mood. She is very mean and puts on a whole fake act. Really the only reason I took the time to even type this out.
Keep saying people dont want to work well...if you want people to stay, maybe have them properly trained by someone a little more patient and understanding. And possibly pay people what theyre worth and not reward tbad employees just because they show...
