When I arrived I stood at the take out/pick up register for about 10 min (after 5 min, I grabbed my own take-out bag) & had to yell to an employee in order to get service (too busy not paying attention to anything). When I got to my destination & opened my sandwich, it was a joke. How hard is it to make a sandwich correctly? You didn't even have to take my order. All you had to do was READ IT! Was supposed to be gf Memphian w/spinach, spring mix, red onions, black olives, extra mayo, NO MUSTARD w/a pickle & cucumber & tomato salad. What I got was the Memphian (gf) w/stale bread (one side was an END, WHAT RESTAURANT SERVES AN END ON AN ALMOST $14 SANDWHICH?!!?), 2 olive slices, 4 spinach leaves, barely any spring mix, maybe 1 or 2 onions, NO MAYO AT ALL, W/MUSTARD I CANNOT EAT & NO PICKLE! So, for over $16 (thats w/tip) I only ate CUCUMBER SALAD! How hard is it for Management to do there jobs, yes Management bc it starts there! Try actually managing your employees, maybe then your businesses won't fail & we the consumer won't pay the price for your laziness, or is it incompetence?! Mcalister's used to be decent, if I could eat Subway, its probably a better option than this store...at least the breads probably fresh & you will definitely get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs with a lot of restaurants these days they seem to be understaffed. When we entered it was unclear whether they had table service. I asked one employee and she said yes. So, we sat there for a short while until we realized what she meant by table service was that you had to order at the counter and then they give you a number card and deliver the food to the table when it is prepared. The place itself is well lit and also has outdoor tables. My wife thought the air conditioning was a bit too cold. But, with all that said, the food was outstanding. The sandwiches are very large with plenty of meat. I had the New Yorker which had corned beef and pastrami and Swiss cheese on marbled rye bread. The wife had a half portion of a baked potato with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut kraut and thousand island dressing. They server brought out a whole Irish baked potato and said that they consider a whole order two potatoes. š„. Needless to say, it was a huge meal even for a half portion. The bill came to about $30 including a small tip. This also included two sides, a bowl of chili and an order of steamed broccoli š„¦. All in all we were very satisfied. Hope they get their staffing issues fixed. We would definitely return and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would avoid the McAlister's Deli on Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach. This location obviously does not meet the cleanliness and service standards that I see at most McAlister's. This is unfortunate, because I enjoy eating at McAlister's Deli and this is my closest location. The last 3 times that I have eaten lunch at the restaurant, the dining area is filthy and much of the staff is simply standing behind the counter chatting and looking at their cell phones when I enter. The last time, I counted more than 10 tables that had food and trash remaining from the previous patrons. The trash cans were overflowing and there were few places to sit. Had there been a lot of people ordering and a rush, I may not have been surprised. However, no one was in line and the 2 people behind the counter were simply playing on there cell phones and chatting to each other. After this experience (2 time previous were similar), I have decided not to dine at this location until the manager can return the typical McAlister's standards. Based on the dining room, I would assume the rest of the operation is in...
