After doing some research on the best burgers in Myrtle Beach while on vacation, this place got tons of good reviews, including from Reddit. So we decided this was the place to ease our craving for a good burger. As for the food, it's good, but not something you have to try. Burgers were good, not great, in our opinion. We got the onion rings which we read were amazing, but they are HUGE. So if you like onion rings that are normal size, don't order these. They were good, but a lot.
The bad. The restrooms were disgusting. As soon as I walked up to the door, I could smell urine from the mens restroom. Once inside, the stench was strong, and the area was just a mess. My wife, and daughters both felt the same with the ladies room as well. Lastly, the service was atrocious. We were seated as a first available and that ended up being an outside seating. That was fine with us, but we were seated on a picnic bench that was sticky and didn't appear to have been cleaned. The family sitting behind us had paper over their table, but we didn't realize this until they had left, so is it a request or should it have been placed? The waitress took quite some time to get our drinks and before she did, the waitress serving the other family was yelling to what appeared to be a manager about how it was 9pm and they were still seating people, and she felt it was ridiculous. Not a good look. When our waitress took our order after bringing our drinks, everything seemed good. However, she checked on us just once, and the other time, just opening the door to ask if we needed anything, as we sat on the far end of the patio. I had to ask for our check after we were finished eating, and we observed her inside chatting and on her phone. Both my wife and I used to wait tables, and we understand when it's busy, it can be stressful and you can get behind, however, when you have time to socialize and the establishment isn't busy, there is no excuse for the poor service. Read moreMy family and I came here for dinner. We got the garlic cheese pops and fried mushrooms for appys. The cheese pops were wonderful they were garlicky and cheesy! Passed the stretch test. Wasn’t crazy for the marinara. The mushrooms were so good! They were very juicy. I’m not a fan of avocado but my family did like that one. The drinks all came with free refills and souvenir cup! My bf got the big island burger. He rated it 9/10 and said it was really good. My MIL got the ham grilled cheese and it was great as well. My FIL and BIL got the bacon cheese burger. I got the peanut butter burger. At first I was skeptical but to my surprise it was a wonderful combination. The saltiness of the burger and bacon combined with the savory of the pb was amazing! Probably my new thing. Our waiter was super nice. The restaurant itself was super cool as they had license plates all along the wall from different states. Also there were peanuts as well! And the portions were great as well. We all had leftovers.
UPDATE: My family came back again today 8/16. Immediately Tre brought out peanuts which were salty, crunchy and delicious! I ordered the clam chowder soup and it was delicious! Creamy, a bit of spice, but so good! We also order the onion rings and they were HUGE also it was different in a good way they were a bit sweet. Again we order the cheese poppers and YUM. For burgers I got the same burger the pb and just as amazing as last time. My Bf and FIL got the Philly burger and they said it was amazing and would rate it 10/10 and 8.5/10. My BIl got the bacon cheese burger and rate it 9.3. My MIL the grilled ham and Swiss again! For the second time Consistency and even better service.
Huge shout out to our server Tre, he was so knowledgeable about the food, gave great recommendations and checked in multiple times. He is proactive, friendly, and fun. He was easy to converse with and made our dinner super enjoyable. We were lucky enough to have him TWICE in one week as our server....
Read moreCustomer service that we received was just plain awful. Arrived around noon and was sat pretty quickly. Restaurant was a little busy but we counted 5 servers and 3 hostess working at this time so we figured waiting wouldn’t be an issue. We sat for roughly 10 minutes before our waitress finally came to the table and got our drink and appetizer order. Almost 10 minutes later she returned with our drinks and appetizer. At this time we went ahead and placed our food order. It was nearly 20 minutes before we saw her again, with 4 empty drinks that had been setting there for 10 minutes waiting to be refilled. Once our food arrived it was ok, but our service definitely swayed our opinion on the food, little things are easier to look past when you have good service. Once we got our food, our waitress never came back until we had to go find someone to get our check. Our total was $85 which was perfectly ok but for that premium price I expect premium service so I decided to speak with a manager. He let me get about 15% of my side out before cutting me off and saying I’ll just take some off of your bill and that was it. Got the new bill and he took $7 off of my bill. Absolute joke, didn’t let me tell my side of the story, didn’t address the horrible service from his waitress, nothing. From the moment the waitress first came to the table she just acted very irritated with us for no reason. Look, we’re locals, we frequent restaurants year round and spend a good amount of money there with there being 4 of us. I don’t expect special treatment but I expect fair treatment and we didn’t deserve what we got on this day. I reached out through Facebook and told my story and I was told that someone would be reaching out to me via email, it’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything. Seems like they don’t really care at this location. No matter how good the food is, we can’t tolerate service like...
