The Eatery — Restaurant in North Strabane Township

Headed to the South Hills of Pittsburgh for some games at the Casino?  Dining options in the Meadows Casino now include The Eatery a concept by Chef Fabio Viviani. Its essentially a huge modern food court - of course we now call them "Food Halls". The Eatery is the kind of food court with dishes you actually want to eat.

Mercato – Offers a delicious selection of gourmet pizza and other Italian eats.  Specialties like pesto chicken pizza with blistered cherry tomatoes, massive sandwiches like the MOB and Caesar and Caprese di burrata salads The Classic – Features “burgers, chicken and things”. With classics like Po Boy sandwiches, Triple Cheese Grilled Cheese sandwiches, Krispy Chicken with bourbon syrup and an assortment of gourmet burgers, including The Smoked, The BBQ and The Crunch. Joe & Dough – Features classic handcrafted Italian desserts like cannoli, key lime tarts, Fabio’s Nutella cheesecake, crème brulee, olive oil cake, fresh hot bambolini (Italian donuts) and croissants, grab n’ go salads and sandwiches and LavAzza coffee. Zen Noodle – Offers authentic Hong Kong-inspired cuisine on the go. You can find chicken satay, pho and hu tieu soup, mei nam noodles, General Tso’s chicken, beef & broccoli, California and crispy shrimp rolls! At the center of the space is  the 2Ten...

So far the only 2 things I'm not disappointed with is the pizza at the Mercato and the fish poboy sandwich at The Classic. If you do order the fish poboy ask for lettuce and tomato otherwise it's boring. Stay away from the burgers because they appear to be precooked and warmed up and dry, expect cold stale buns. I'm very disappointed and really miss the restaurant buffet they used to have which was always good. Oh well at least there are decent restaurants...

Food is fantastic, service is prompt, new decor and style are really nice. Definitely a great stop for food even if you've not planning on gambling. Burger combo was $13 (for reference). Chairs are comfortable, there's plenty of seating and tvs. Bonus points for being able to order from the bar.
