This is my favorite breakfast place in Munster. The food is always good, and so is the service. I happened to be there with the lady who had the screaming kid, and wrote a complaint. I knew that she would be on here, and other sites complaining. People like her always seem to complain the most! Her one kid screamed the entire time! From the time they walked in until the time they were finally asked to leave! Her other kid was also running around the restaurant, kicking the bathroom door, and trying to open it while people were inside! Both parents did absolutely nothing to stop them! A couple of customers left rather than put up with this group! One of the owners Steve was very nice in handling the situation. Way nicer than I would have been in the same situation! I only wish that the other owner Garrard was there when this happened! Because they would have been asked to leave before ever placing their order! He doesn't put up with any problems! That's one of the reasons why my family and I go there several times a week! Most customers including us cheered when these people were finally asked to leave! They should have been asked to leave much sooner! But unfortunately business owners are between a rock and a hard place when dealing with people like this! She tried to pull the screaming kid was “special needs” excuse! But what about the other unruly child who was running all around, being obnoxious, trying to open the bathroom doors while someone was inside, and kicking the bathroom doors while people were inside?! I have a feeling that these are parents that allow their children to act however they want to! I tipped their waitress $20.00 for having to put up with this group! Since they completely stiffed her! Even though the waitress was nothing but nice to them! I pity the poor restaurant or other business that gets this group next! Since it seems like the parents just let their children do whatever they want to! Then complain when someone finally has had enough, and says something! My sister and I would have suffered severe consequences if we acted even a little like these kids when we were younger! We knew better! We had parents who expected good behavior at all times! Especially at a restaurant, or in public! We had no other options! Either behave or suffer the consequences! I really hope they do everyone a favor and never come back to...

It’s not the same as it was years ago, I guess there’s a new owner . My family’s favorite was the stuffed pepper soup it’s only made on Saturdays. I even told many of my friends and family how wonderful the soup was . I would buy pints of soup and take it to my grandparents but Unfortunately they have this new rule where they do not do take our orders on the weekends they just let the phone ring. I went in so that I can make a takeout order and that’s when I found out about the no takeout orders on the weekends , the owner bluntly said that’s why we didn’t answer the phone because we don’t do takeout orders on the weekend ! I thought to myself why wouldn’t you answer the phone and let your customers know that! It was obvious that he did not care about us ordering anything there at his restaurant! So he just lost a customer that has been dining in and taking out orders for the last 15 years! I will definitely let my friends and family know the difference in the new...

I would recommend using better quality eggs, preferably organic. They seem to use very low quality ingredients as opposed to how the previous owner ran things. The yolks were a very faint yellow color and i was a bit grossed out. Juice is no longer fresh squeezed and the coffee wasn’t strong at all. When i asked for a table for two this morning though, i was told that only when my mother arrives (she was on her way and showed up less than 5 min later) they would seat us. Seems from the reviews people don’t mind much, but i did and wanted to share my opinion. If you compare prices/quality, to say, harvest room - I’d probably have eaten better quality food for around the same price at harvest room. The coffee at harvest room is amazing.
