Dolce Italia — Restaurant in North Wildwood

Do yourself a favor and skip Dolce Italia! First of all, the employees are sooo incredibly rude. We have patronized them for years because of proximity to our house and they honestly have good calzones and turnovers...but they are the rudest people. Trust me...they NEVER have your food done when they quote you a time. Instead you stand there in the hottest restaurant in Wildwood endlessly waiting and asking yourself "why didn't I learn the last time!" Finally your food is ready and inevitably they got something wrong and instead of apologizing, the cook(the son) berates you as you try to leave because hes pissed his mother got the order wrong....the mother tries to make up for his temper and apologize but it's too late. Yeah...so don't patronize that place unless you want to be part of a circus with no air conditioning and a loose cannon as a chef! Wasn't even planning on bashing the place until seeing the son flip out in front of everyone and start yelling at me like I'm the one who screwed the order up...someone needs some anger management! I told the owner not to worry about the mixup but it was just frustrating because I had waited so long...but again the son began yelling at me. I told the owner I felt sorry that she had to deal with him and I left as to not wait before her crazy son did something more crazy! Can't help but laugh now that we made...

THERE IS A HAIR ON OUR PIZZA! My wife and a good friend of ours went to this restaurent on Saturday, June 18th. We walked through the door to order a half cheese / half vegetable pizza. We are assuming that we ordered the pizza from the owner. It was obvious to us that someone or something had upset this individual before we walked through the door. We tried to make small conversation and said thank you after ordering our meal. Not a friendly word in return and all this individual could do was smirk! We went to sit down and our pizza arrived ABOUT 15 minutes later. My wife noticed that there was a hair on our pizza. When the waitress looked our way, I motioned for her to come over. I showed her the hair on the pizza nd her comment was YUCK! She did ask if we wanted a new pizza and I said no thank you, we just want our money back. The waitress went around the corner, never to return. I walked to the counter and we are assuming it was the owner confronted me, practically nose to nose and told me how ridiculous I was. Both of us raised our voices. I didn't back down and insisted on a refund of which he gave me....

First time here and definitely not the last!! The Sicilian pizza was amazing! The crust was soft but still completely cooked while not being incredibly thick like a pan pizza. The toppings were generous and the extra cheese pizza we had wasn't greasy from the extra cheese. The service was incredible with never having a want but at the same time not feeling like we were being bothered. Atmosphere was quiet and reserved family dining perfect for the mothers day dinner that this was. Its not everyday that my family of 8 can walk into a restaurant and be able to just sit down as they already had an 8 top table set up. Excellent service exceptional food and an amazing atmosphere makes for a winning combination that will definitely have you coming back again just like it will for us!
