Disappointing Experience and Questionable Service

We recently stopped here for a pizza to go, expecting the quality and service reflected in the 4.9-star rating. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations. After waiting 30 minutes and observing other walk-ins being served, we inquired about the status of our order. A staff member checked the ovens and the cashier falsely claimed we had only placed our order 8 minutes prior. It became apparent that our order had been overlooked, and when we raised the issue, the owner defensively asserted that he was "the best" at customer service and offered to start our pizza at that point.

Not wanting to wait another 20 minutes, we requested the pizza that was already in the window to be boxed up. To our surprise, the owner then insisted on an additional $4 charge for a pizza we had already paid $20 for, seemingly switching to a per-slice pricing model. Unwilling to pay more, we told him to remove a slice and box the rest. We left with 7/8 of a cold pizza that was mediocre at best.

I can't say enough good things about xo pizza! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect.

Now, let's talk about the pizza – absolutely incredible! The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. The sauce was bursting with flavor, and the toppings were fresh, generous, and perfectly balanced. I tried their signature grandma pizza, and it was nothing short of pizza perfection.

What sets this place apart is their commitment to quality. You can taste the care and passion that goes into every bite. Whether you're a fan of classic margherita or adventurous toppings, there's something for everyone on the menu.

The food was extremely good. Employees were very kind and friendly. I was charged $1.00 for a small cup of water for my daughter, who was extremely overheated (we all were). That annoyed me only because we were paying customers who sat down at a table. We've never been charged for a cup of water at any other restaurant in Wildwood as long as we were customers (and in some cases, even if we weren't). I know it's only a dollar, but you'd think they would look at it the same way. Anyway...

It also says that it's air conditioned, but it definitely didn't feel like it was. We were all sweating the entire time, which made it uncomfortable. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was great and the prices...
