Chicago Pizza Authority — Restaurant in Northfield Township

I was passing through town on my way back to Michigan from Wisconsin while on vacation and this happened to be on my route. I was looking for somewhere to get a good Chicago deep dish pizza so I put an order in for one Chicago deep dish, a pan pizza, breadsticks and a salad online about an hour before we got to the area. It was ready when I got there at the time I requested. The pizza and breadsticks that my son and I ate was absolutely perfect and cooked well done exactly as requested. My mom who ate the salad said it was one of the best she’s ever had and everything in it was really fresh. I had extra pizza left over I was able to throw in the cooler for a few hours to get it home which I ate today for lunch after heating it up in the oven. It was just as good the second time around.

The price for everything was very reasonable and much cheaper than the other more well known Chicago pizzerias around that are known for Chicago deep dish. This place is just as great as all of those places. The few times a year I drive through Chicago or stay there I will be making this my go to for pizza. This place held up to my expectations and I’m really happy I decided to try it. I wish I had a place like this to get great pizza from near me. There’s only one place in town that has Chicago deep dish but it’s not anywhere near as good or the same. Thanks for the great food...

Order was not ready at time of pick up (according to the person I sent to pick it up) The double dough chicken, olive oil and garlic pizza was nice although the chicken had no flavor. The pick four I picked bacon cheese tomatoes and pepperoni. This pizza was very gracious with the toppings and flavorful overall. Although i went with a classic thin crust. I would do the double dough on that one next time. Now why I ordered from here was for the wings. Sauce was pleasant & plentiful. I got “hot”. Packaged great in sturdy a box with plenty of ranch. (Very impressive because a lot of places do not pack wings in decent transportation containers.) But the major issue I had, which is why I am giving only 2 stars for food, was the wings were not cooked. First impression was it was no where near crisped at all. Immediately upon my second wing the inside was super red and looked undercooked. The bones red color, along with the touching meat being red and the sliminess of the chicken all felt too undercooked to consume. Wish they were fried or baked longer. Leftovers went to...

Believe the hype. This is honestly my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza now. I’ve had them all: Lou Malnatis (crust too dry and sauce lacks flavor), Giordano’s (no complaints generally) Geno’s (it’s alright). I was staying at a hotel and this place popped us as the closest and had higher reviews. I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered online a Chicago style with pepperoni. They told me it would be there in about an hour and it showed up after only 45 minutes 👍. The driver called me as he was approaching the hotel.👍. The pizza was hot and delicious 👍. I love their crust and sauce. Crispy crust, but not burnt or dry (cracker crust like Lou’s). The sauce had flavor and was not sweet at all ❤️. Oregano and garlic ❤️. There was plenty of cheese and it was high quality and had flavor. The sauce had big chunks of tomato in it, and I can normally take it or leave it, but because of the flavor, I was taking. This place has a high rating and in my experience it is deserved. I just realized that today is Tax Day (April 15th) and I just ordered pizza...
