If I were the owner of this franchise, I would be mortified by the behavior of the employees on duty that Saturday night. Moreover, I would remind them that their jobs wouldn't exist if it weren't for annoying and pesky customers.
We walked in right behind a young couple with 3 children at 9:30 p.m. Rather than greet us, the cashier hollered to the back "should I serve these people?" She went on to announce "I just confirmed with my manager there will be no dining room service for customers who come in when we're about to close."
While we had planned to eat on site, we agreed to order takeout instead. After the cashier took our payment, she hurriedly moved on to mopping the floor around us and the family of 5.
After waiting approximately 15 minutes, we all noticed 3 bags of food sitting in the "hot window". We assumed it must be a pickup order for DoorDash or GrubHub, so we all continued to wait for the cashier (who never returned to her post at the front).
At 9:55 p.m. we finally took the bags from the window and set them on the nearest table to check the contents.
When the cashier saw this, she hollered "I thought I told ya'll you can't eat in here!" At this point, the manager said "we're officially closed now" and proceeded to turn off ALL of the lights!
It was so dark that the children present were frightened and had to be consoled by their mother. I ran into the mop bucket as we struggled to find our way to the exit. When we got to the car, I took note of the time, which was 9:57 p.m.
I've never experienced such an offensive approach to closing a food service restaurant.
Incidentally, once we got home, we discovered that neither of our "double avocado bacon burgers" had bacon or avocado. Both burgers were just a plain patty on a bun.

Read moreI ordered 2 burgers 1 FF and a shake for $26.08 for delivery. I am less than two miles away. The order was confirmed at 12:15pm . I got a text at. I got a text at 12.50pm that the order was picked up and will be dropped off in 5 minutes. I called at 1:45 pm to tell them that I wanted a refund because if they did have someone delivering it they must be walking.and I'm sure the food was cold 55 minutes later. I called and I was informed by the assistant manager that someone "black curly haired guy" who called himself my son and knew my full name, picked up the order. What delivery driver has your full name Either there website is being viewed by someone who was going after burgers. or they were lying. Being a critical thinker that I am, I'm thinking - seriously, someone hacked into their system for a couple burgers and didn't get my CC info. Yeah Probably not!! and I'm also thinking why on earth would I spend over $7.67 "service and tax fee", $2.75 delivery charge, and $5.21 for a tip and send my "black curly haired son" (who has straight brown hair and lives in Oregon) to pick it up. The whole order that I never got was 41.71 for 2 single burgers 1 FF and 1 coke. I gave them two stars because they did say they would refund my money. and I took 3 stars off because they expected me to believe that there is someone who took the trouble to hack into a computer system for burgers. Front cashier was not very social, we were expected to know that even though the burger was labeled a double bacon burger, if you want the lesser "single" burger you have to say single or you automatically get a double. You also cant put stuff like cheese and bacon on a large side for some reason. That's just bad customer service. The dining room was filthy. Almost every table was dirty in one form or another. They gave us a cup that they didnt have lids for. When we commented on it the front the first guy we talked to was like, 'no we just got those cups so we dont have the lids yet" when we talked to the front cashier lady she gave us a solution and got us 3 smaller cups so we would have cups that have lids. That was the first positive this place had before I tasted my food. The bacon smash burgers were really good. Bacon was slightly over done but it didnt destroy the flavor. The staff brought out food out with gloved hands. That was appreciated. But the cleanliness of the restaurant kept bugging me. If you aren't going to take care of your dining room cleanliness, how am I supposed to trust your food safety? While we were eating a dining room attendant came out and walked right by 3 tables that were dirty including benches, and chairs. I might look for another smash burger to eat...
