This maybe due to the technician I had, as my friend had a good experience. I went in for a regular manicure and their deluxe pedicure with a friend. My friend started about 5-10 minutes before me and my pedicure finished about 5 minutes before hers. When they placed my feet in the hot towels, they were only in there for less than a minute while my friend's had hers in there for at least a few. The rest of the pedicure went fine though I thought it was interesting that she didn't use the toe spacers when she painted them. The manicure was not good. She cut me really badly with the cuticle cutters and I bled a lot for most of my manicure. She felt bad and I didn't want to make her feel worse so I played it off like it wasn't a big deal. But I think she was still thrown off by it as her manicure painting was not what I would pay for. There are bubbles and the paint borders are uneven, and i think I could have done just as well if I had painted them myself. And the nail she cut me on is very messy, even though it had stopped bleeding by the time she painted it. The total was $45, $35 of which was the pedicure, so they may have given me a discount, which...
Read moreMost of the techs do "okay" nails. Just okay though. Their prices are good, but unpredictable. The technicians are generally very rude, which is something I can't stand in a salon. I've been a regular customer here for a year, and today will be my last visit. The quality of work just isn't good enough to tolerate the rude environment. Quality issues I've experienced include top coat that yellows within a day of application (then insisting the work was done at a different salon when I returned the very next day to have it redone... it was even the same tech!). Today I had a rebase, the tech did not reshape my cuticles, left shellac on my cuticles and insisted that was normal, and smacked my hand when I didn't flip it over fast enough. Dramatic sighs and eye rolls are standard when you ask to see the other color wheels. I requested a pink and white umbre gel rebase... she gave me a pink rebase with a horrible umbre shellac job, and reversed the colors so it was painted white on the nail and pink in the tip... then insisted that's what I asked for....
Read moreWow! I want to preface my review by saying I thought I had found “my nail place” here in the Denver area already. I typically visit a high-end salon in Cherry Creek that charges slightly more than the Glam Shop for most services... but WOW did Glam Shop blow them out of the water. I had a dip manicure over tips done today because my car was being serviced nearby and I was in a pinch to get my nails done. I had some reservations about going to a place in a strip mall, but as soon as I walked in and spoke with Cindy, I felt very comfortable that she and the wonderful tech who did my manicure knew exactly what I wanted. Rose, who did my nails was friendly and sweet, gave me options when I had questions, and was so thorough in her service. While this place might not have all of the bells and whistles that I was used to, I got one of the best sets and nicest atmospheres that I have experienced in my 3 years here in Denver, and will definitely be making the drive to get my nails done from...
