Charley's Deli and Grille — Restaurant in Northville Charter Township

I was craving a corn beef sandwich, and saw a little deli in the corner. It was close to closing, which I didn’t know. I went inside, the gentleman that treated me was very soft spoken and patient with me. I swear I’m a picky eater, but everything I requested was perfect. Let me describe my sandwich, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!! When I say, that’s the most juicy corn beef I’ve ever had, believe my words!!! You really have too. The corn beef was soooo juicy (not dry at all), and swiss cheese (I need to know what brand) was still melting when I pulled apart. Usually cheese would begin to solidify, not this cheese. And when I say my toast was so good and buttery, food, especially a sandwich, should not taste this good. Well, yes it should, but I haven’t had it, TILL NOW!!! So, yes, I’m going back and getting a sandwich for work, for me and my bestie. The respect in the way they cook their food, will forever keep me happy and I will continue to be a regular customer for now on. There are so many places to eat, but not enough love goes into cooking like this deli. This deli will always be Number 1 in my book. A place chosen by random or fate. I have found a not so secret place, it seems Charley's is known. It doesn't seen overwhelmingly busy atm. However my group and I found the good was so good we forgot to take before photos. Everything looks and tastes freshly made with kind and considerate workers taking orders. They even seem to work with people when creating new food ideas on the menu. Like me with added Hummus to the steak and cheese sub. (The handsome male who took my order even went the extra step to take off the orginal sauce so the sandwich didn't have a clash of taste. Never would have thought of it if it weren't for him!!)

I really love Charley's, I've been coming here for more than 10 years, since I discovered it while working at Barnes and Noble across the street. I've gotten the Tommy Turkey & Cheese Wrap literally every time I've come, because it's my favorite thing on the menu. But I'm also very partial to the fries, and grandpa's chocolate chip cookies!

I laugh at everyone going through the McDonald's drive-thru, because steps away is a wonderful place, with fresh, healthy food and fast service. I've literally never had a bad experience at Charley's, and it warms my heart every time I see one of the family members hanging out.
