Mithai & Chai — Restaurant in Northville

Really disappointed honestly! Was so excited to try this place because it’s new to the area, but the customer service was so poor. The girl at the counter (no name tag - short cut bangs) did not greet us. Did not pay attention to us while we were deciding. Scrolled on her phone and even when we were ready to order she ignored us and continued on her phone, so we went to look at the grab and go section. I even verbally said aloud “okay let’s go look over here since she’s busy.” She then proceeded to go to the back. So we walked back to the counter and she came out again and I finally had to ask her if she was ready for us. I placed my order with her and she made my coffee. Then she told us to have a good day and my friend had to ask her if she could order a drink too. She ordered her drink and even before the barista went to make her drink she checked her phone AGAIN. I just feel like this left much to be desired. Please greet your customers and make sure your baristas are welcoming and engaging.

All this being said, my coffee was very good and I do want to try their food options. Hopefully if I come back, I will be able to discuss food options and receive...

Horrible experience. When my wife and I learned that f a new cafe in town we were excited to try it. We went and happily saw no line thinking it would be a quick visit. We ordered two lattes and then waited, the one employee went in back and vanished, a moment later the other employee vanished as well. My wife and I sat alone in the store with no one around for over ten minutes (I made it through a 13 minute YouTube video while we waited). Eventually I started looking for an employee to ask about our drinks, but found no one. Calling back to the kitchen “hello, is anyone there?” someone came out a moment later, set our drinks down on the counter, and turned right back around and walked away.

Longs waits and horrible customer service.

Absolutely delicious! I'm so thrilled to have some form of Indian Cuisine here in Downtown Northville. It's a quick fix when you're craving it. It does the job. The sandwiches were nicely prepared. The samosa was very delicious and tasty. The Mango Lassi was very delicious, I was a little nervous to drink it honestly because it was bottled with no expiration date on it or date made. Especially having yogurt in it. So I hope they put dates on bottled hand made drinks. I usually don't drink bottled made drinks, because of food poisoning. But I tried it anyway. It was good. The atmosphere is beautiful and airy. Clean. The Iced Cafe Latte was very good. Plus their Boondi Ladoo and Besan Ladoo were very good! I'll definitely be back. Employees were pleasant...
