Christmas night, we had reservations somewhere else and it turned out it was a no-go, so the group I was with decided to go to Denny's, upon entering, it was of course busy, but there was a young man who was working, I am not 100% sure what his actual job title was, but by the end of the evening, I can say that it should have been Manager. I believe he said that his name was Darius, but it was very loud when he told us, he said that he just goes by D, so that was how we referred to him from then on. He sat us in a server section who was nowhere to be found, after checking some customers out at the register, D came over and got our orders, and brought us drinks, he then looked and saw that everyone was tied up with things, and grabbed a bin and started bussing tables and washing them down. He then went up and started seating more customers. After that, he went to put orders in, pick up food for 2 separate parts of the restaurant and deliver them, and help a girl with an issue with the big coffee maker. Not once was my beverage empty, he would rush over with a refill, D stopped at the table 3 separate times to be sure that we didn't need anything, and my mother who was in the party, walks with a cane, he made sure twice that she was seated quickly and comfortably, and asked if there was anything he could do to make he more comfortable. Having our previous reservations canceled appears to be the best thing that could have happened to us. D truly made the night wonderful and if there was anything that could have made the Christmas Spirit feel bright in us again, it was D and his warmth and sincere graciousness. He is truly a benefit to the establishment and deserves all the best in the coming year. I hope your company recognizes this young man and awards him for his...
Read morePlease please don’t go to Denny’s Pancakes. I’m writing this review sitting here in Denny’s. Me and my girl saw Instagram posts where all you can eat pancakes were advertised by many influencers. We wanted to check out the all day diner deals but when we went there we had the instant regret on why we came there. Our waiter was Juan(bald guy). He gave us the menu and came back in 2 minutes and kept asking us what we wanted to order. We said we will let him know and then he comes back in another two minutes. We just said we’ll have pancakes and a sizzler. He kept pestering us as to what drinks we wanted when we said nothing was needed. I was having this sizzler and my girl was having the pancakes. We asked for a refill and he got us one. And then the next moment we thought of ordering something else and he just got us the bill and put it on our table. I don’t know why people in America treat us this way. We are from South Asia and very less people treat us properly and we keep facing such things. Please don’t go this restaurant and if you do make sure you don’t get served by JUAN. You don’t want to be treated like this. Food is good but get yourself a better server. There was a lady who was serving the table behind us and kept checking on them. Denny’s need to check on who they hire and do have to teach them the ethics. Would not try this...
Read moreUpdate: This has been by far the worst experience to date. This most likely will be the last time we will dine here. It used to be so much better.
No one at the restaurant seemed to care about customer service. All the host just gathered, hid, talked to each other, and BSing in the back corner by the bathrooms. They would touch the register every few minutes to look like they were doing something. Another table had to walk up to them and ask for something and get someone's attention. My waiter completely forgot we had another order and one of my party sat and watched everyone else ate. It was country fried steak, nothing special. There were two of the same order, one came out, the other did not until we actually have to wave down our waiter.
With so much competition in the area, thus service is unacceptable. And these are the same folks that would cry and complain when the business close down because no one wants to be treated like this and be ignored. The person waiting on us was more interested about telling everyone what time she was leaving then servicing her tables.
Lastly, the food is mediocre nowadays. We do not even know why we decided to go here. Should have just gone to Culver's or Cozy Corner. Heck, IHOP would have been better then...
