Sarpino's Pizzeria Harwood Heights — Restaurant in Norwood Park Township

I like Sarpinos. They are open until 4 a.m. which is great for late night working or studying sessions. The online order discount code sometimes does not work, but they very nicely let me have the discount when I ordered by phone. The pizza is good and there are lots of topping options. My favorite item on the menu is the cheesy breadsticks. I get them with the creamy garlic dipping sauce. Yum!

However, I must deduct one star because of my most recent delivery experience. The driver was very nice and on time, but 1) he came to my apartment building door instead of staying in his car for "contactless curbside delivery", and 2) he was not wearing a mask. During this pandemic, all delivery people should be wearing masks and limiting contact with customers, just as we customers should be doing the same. So I will not order from Sarpinos again until the COVID situation is over.

UPDATE: I now add a note to my delivery directions, asking delivery person to wear a mask when coming to my building (I wear one too). Since then, every delivery driver has worn a mask when showing up at my door. So if you're concerned like I was, I recommend doing this....

You know, my name is Isaac Viera, im here from outta town and my boys have always raved about Sarpinos, so i came out on business and i ordered, and the ball was dropped, cause no one is perfect and EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES. BUT I WILL SAY, I CALLED THEM BACK, AND THEY REMADE MY ORDERED, DENIED MY OFFER TO CHARGE ME FOR A SAUCE SO I COULD TIP THE DELIVERY DRIVER THEN WHEN MY FOOD SHOWED UP, I OFFERED TO CASH APP THE PERSON THAT WAS DELIVERING MY FOOD, I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES, ANNOYINGLY, ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE MANGER HER SELF, WAS MY DELIVERY DRIVER AND SHE MADE SURE TO DENY SAID TIP AND THAT I RECEIVED MY ORDER EXACTLY HOW I ORDERED IT! We oredered two pizzas and a salad. I did a online order with delivery later in the day. If you just showed up when they were supposed to, but both of them were lukewarm. It's not the worst thing in the world, I can reheat them. They did however flip flop the orders in terms of how well I wanted the pizzas cooked. I'll called the restaurant up and told them about the mistake, and the gentleman on the phone said they would send new pizzas out in about 50 minutes. Seeing that it was dinner time, my family and I ate the pizzas anyway. The delivery driver showed up, they dropped the new pizzas off, the delivery driver said his manager wanted the incorrect pizzas back. I told them they were half eaten already, he said it didn't matter. Seems a little petty wasteful to me, you're just going to throw them in the trash. You can't resell a half eaten and pizza. You spent 50 bucks on two pizzas, I kind of want my order...
