Our first time this AM. A rainy Saturday and this place was absolutely packed. They told us about a 10 minute wait for a table and it was 10 minutes. The name couldn’t be more appropriate every way you look reminds you of the 60s the walls, the ceiling, the floor, the tables, the chairs, everything. Even the hostess stand, which looks like the front of an old Volkswagen bus. I had the chicken and waffle with their apparently secret sauce because they don’t define it on the menu but it’s very good with maple syrup on it as well. The chicken tenders were well cooked and so tender and juicy the waffle was very good too. My sister had the Greek omelette with the baked beans. She enjoyed it very much. We also shared the avocado toast with the egg on top. It was OK. I could’ve done without the balsamic drizzle on top of it. The balsamic was too overpowering, took away from the dish. The service was quick and efficient, and I like the fact that somebody walked around with coffee in hand one decaf, on regular offering to refill cups nice touch. I thought the coffee was very good nice and strong but not bitter. Our total came to $55 for breakfast, but we had the appetizer avocado toast. Overall, well worth the price we paid and we plan on going back. Only gave four stars on the atmosphere only because it was so loud in there the music was much too loud for us. Definitely give this...
Read moreFirst time going here and it was an amazing experience! Will be back for sure, despite the short wait time during the Sunday lunch rush- waited no more than 10 minutes. Our waiter, Casey was super friendly and chatty. Even with the full dining hall, they still made the experience personal and memorable. Good value for the food and atmosphere, decor was on point! Peter, the owner of the establishment made rounds and made sure everyone was having a great time. Even took a photo with us! Super friendly staff, amazing food as well. Pancakes were soft and crisp. Even hours later were fluffy and tasty. Chicken and waffles didn’t disappoint with a sweet and savory combo. Their “Supreme Sauce” was deletable and addicting. Eggs were perfectly served over easy despite the crowds and rush. Home-fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Menu is MASSIVE- study up ahead of time if you don’t want to be overwhelmed with all of the delicious decisions. If you can make the trip and have the appetite for some of the best diner food you’ll EVER have- 100% worth it! Even the placemats had 60s trivia of music and TV shows while you wait. TVs had Leave it to Beaver playing- and a variety of other shows. Fun, memorable and delicious food. If you’re in Norwood, or even in another state- Make sure you stop by...
Read moreWOW! The ambiance and quality of the food, not to mention the incredible staff (hostesses, waitresses, and waiters) were simply awesome! Emphasis on the "Awe." Tip: Get there early. This place gets crowded, especially on weekends. As soon as a customer leaves, the crew jumps into action, cleaning tables with practiced precision. It’s like a well-choreographed dance!
The food? Absolutely incredible. Taste: Toothsome and full of flavor! Quality: Top-tier. Quantity: Generous. You won’t leave hungry. (Chances are, you’ll be bringing leftovers home or eating them in the car while at the Drive-In.)
You HAVE to try their Corned Beef Hash Browns. Homemade, chunky, and packed with flavor. Hands down the BEST CBH I’ve ever had!
The retro 50s–60s ambiance is super appealing, and every employee was incredibly ebullient...smiles everywhere! You can tell they love what they do, and it shows. We’ll definitely be back! Keep Up...
