Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Novi

We had a disappointing experience, but have had enjoyable visits in the past. We decided we wanted some bar-b-que for dinner and Dave's topped our list. They had many open tables and a bunch of staff. The dining room needed attention and I did notice the manager bend over and pick something up. We ordered the Catfish fingers appetizer and a couple of Mountain Dews. Then continued onto figuring out the main course. We ended up ordering the feast for 2-3 with an extra side of potato salad. The waiter brought our drinks, plates and utensils. I watched him wipe his nose with his left hand as he walked to grab the plates and utensils. He brought our food and no potato salad. He never offered to refill our drinks during the meal. The manager stopped by and I asked for our potato salad and he promptly went and returned with it. The waiter came out afterwards and apologized saying "I forgot you wanted that". The corn was the usual over cooked with no texture like it had been in a steam bath or pot of water all day. The fries were crisp and delicious. The corn bread tasted very yummy and moist. The chicken was done perfect and we ate all of it. The brisket and ribs was horrible. It had a tough texture and very chewy. The brisket would stretch like rubber and not even break the fibers apart. The Wilber beans was tasty too. I almost forgot that the wife liked the coleslaw. We stopped eating and asked for the truck after at least a 10 minute wait approximately. The waiter offered to box it up and we said " No, we did not enjoy it" He offered us a manager and we said "No thanks" several times. On July 5, 2021 My sister and I ordered rib tips, beans, coleslaw and bread pudding. We had guests over and didn't want to cook. Whoever took her order encouraged her to add more rib tips, she did, we spent $66.These are the ribs tips we ended up with They looked very unappetizing and were dry and raggedy. This ruined our meal for the night. She reached out to the manager who was very apologetic and said he wanted to make this right and would make a note of it. So I didn't post my pictures because he was going to remake our order at a later date. Well on July 19th we wanted ribs so decided to give them another try. We talked to the same manager that we previously spoke with But there were no notes written down for him to refer too. He was not sure of our first order🤔 but we knew the exact order. He was nice and nasty at the same time, and down sized our beans and coleslaw.The July 19th order will be thrown in trash today, These are not the rib tips that my family has grown to love over the years. I won't be returning to Famous Dave's. That's why I take pictures because he knew that there were issues on July 5th but seem to want us to share the blame. Ordered carry out tonight for dinner and everything was horrible. First of all, whoever boxed up and bagged our food must have kept their dirty gloves on because the outside of our boxes were gross, plus the outside of the bag was covered in bbq sauce. As a customer, who wants to walk out with sticky, nasty hands and then transfer that sauce their car and steering wheel? Good thing we had hand sanitizer in our car bc we had to use that to wash our hands before touching anything else then put the bag on the ground so we didn't get bbq sauce all over our seats. Now on to the food, I'm not sure what's going on bc I used to really enjoy Famous Dave's but after tonight we won't ever be back. The pulled pork meat portion was tiny, my jalapeno cheddar sausage was BURNT BLACK, check out the pic, and our beef brisket was so-so at best. Also, not sure how this is possible but out of our two meals, somehow our Mac and cheese tasted different. Mine was super watered down and nasty, I couldn't eat it, however, my wife said hers was good. So I had her try mine and she said it didnt taste anything like hers.
