Gone With the Wings — Restaurant in Nutley

I’ve been a customer at this store for awhile but I will no longer be going back. Last week Saturday I must have called the store about 7 times and each time someone answered and hung up on me. I was truly craving their breakfast and at this point I was a bit annoyed about being continuously hung up on. I decided to just go into the store to place my order. Once I get into the store I asked the girl at the counter if she kept hanging up my call and she said “yes.” & I asked how come, I was told because there is no cook. I expressed how unprofessional that was. I could’ve simply been told over the phone there isn’t a cook and it would’ve saved me a trip going there. This is the second time I’ve dealt with rudeness from this store. Although their food is good, it is not worth the unprofessionalism given to their customers. I am more than sure I am not the only customer she kept answering and hanging up on. I do hope this store gets their employees together and teach them how to be more professional regardless if there is a cook or not. I would’ve...

I must say, there are a lot of unhappy people that reviewed this place, so I felt compelled to write a review. I've been ordering from Gone with the Wings for years, but not every day. I would say 1 time every 3 months. But I just ordered from them two nights ago and the guy on the phone was not rude at all. He wasn't the most chatty person I ever talked to, but he took my order, answered my couple questions, gave me the total and approx. time, and that's it. When the food was delivered, everything was nice and hot. For the 4 things I ordered (2 meals, 2 apps), it was on the money. This isn't a 5 star restaurant, don't get me wrong, but I feel it's well above average. I LOVE their teriyaki sauce, it's perfect. Their wings are great. Their ribs are great. I love their cheese fries.

Their menu is extensive. I'm quite happy with Gone with the Wings, so don't let anyone else's review persuade you to go somewhere else; try it for yourself and see if...

We ordered Two different flavors of the chicken tenders. We specifically requested, BEFORE they were prepared, that they be LIGHTLY COOKED (NOT Overcooked And NOT Well Done). The young lady who answered the phone repeated this back to me! They were ABSOLUTELY NOT TENDER and I can't swear to it that they were even chicken! On each order the flavored coating was nonexist! They were so dried out, overcooked, stringy and chewy! Although most of the pieces were quite large, they were also FLAVORLESS and QUITE INEDIBLE! To add insult to injury, not only did the manager not call us back as promised, when we called him, he Never apologized, he incorrectly claimed he made the dishes as we requested. Additionally, he said the chicken tenders should not be Tender a few hours later? Needless to say, we will NEVER be going back to this Nutley, NJ Gone With The Wings!
