On a sun-drenched afternoon, Chris and his senior beagle, Dexter, embarked on one of their cherished outings from their cozy apartment. Despite Dexter’s age, he trotted alongside Chris with an exuberance that seemed to defy the years. His glossy coat glistened in the sunlight, and his eyes sparkled with a youthful gleam that matched his energetic steps.
Their destination was Rocky’s Pizzeria on Franklin Avenue, a beloved local gem renowned for its mouthwatering pizza. The park nearby was alive with activity—families picnicking, children playing, and dog walkers enjoying the beautiful day. Dexter’s tail wagged rhythmically, as if he were marching to a joyful tune, while he and Chris navigated through the lively park, their bond evident in every step they took together.
Rocky’s Pizzeria had a special place in Chris’s heart, not only for its delicious pizza but also for its nostalgic value. Chris fondly recalled visiting the pizzeria about 25 years ago, and it had been a favorite ever since. The place still held its charm, with the special offer of two slices and a can of soda for just six dollars. As they approached, the familiar aroma of freshly baked pizza filled the air, making Dexter’s nose twitch with excitement.
Inside, they were greeted by the warm, friendly staff. One of the college students, known for his fondness for dogs, spotted Dexter and immediately came over. “Hey, Dexter!” he said with a broad smile, bending down to pet the beagle and offer him a bowl of cool water. Dexter lapped up the water with a grateful gulp, his tail wagging like a metronome. “You still got it, buddy,” Chris joked, ruffling Dexter’s ears. Dexter’s eyes shone with a mix of appreciation and mischief, as if he were saying, “Of course I do!”
With their pizza and soda in tow, Chris and Dexter headed back to the park. They found a perfect picnic spot under a grand tree with long, cascading leaves and vibrant green grass. The nearby stream babbled gently, adding a serene soundtrack to their day. Chris spread out their picnic blanket, and Dexter, ever the enthusiastic helper, circled the blanket with eager anticipation.
An elderly lady strolled by, casting envious glances at their pizza. She couldn’t resist giving Dexter a friendly pat, and Dexter, being the charmer he was, accepted the attention with a contented wag of his tail. “I’m just here for the pizza,” Chris quipped, “but it looks like Dexter’s making new friends again!”
Sitting under the tree, Chris and Dexter enjoyed their pizza together. Dexter watched with rapt attention as Chris broke off small pieces of pizza and tossed them to him. Each bite was met with a delighted tail wag and a satisfied, cheesy grin. Dexter’s gaze, full of affection, never strayed from Chris. It was as if they were sharing not just a meal but a moment of pure happiness, their souls connecting in a way only true soul mates could understand.
After finishing their pizza, Dexter seemed invigorated, ready for more adventures. They packed up their picnic and set off through the park, their steps in perfect harmony. The stream glistened in the afternoon sun, and Dexter’s keen eyes scanned the surroundings for any signs of ducks or other wildlife. “The ducks better watch out,” Chris joked. “Dexter’s on a mission!”
Every step they took together was a new adventure. Dexter’s joy was infectious, and Chris’s heart swelled with love and gratitude. The day’s simple pleasures—the perfect pizza, a friendly pat, and the beauty of nature—were a testament to their deep bond. As they strolled through the park, surrounded by the wonders of the world, Chris felt an overwhelming sense of contentment, knowing that, no matter what, he and Dexter, soul mates through and through, would always have each other’s...
Read moreI ordered a taco pizza from this place because I was really sick and didn't have the energy to cook. A taco pizza is topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and onion so it's hard to distinguish what else is on it. I started eating a slice, only to realize that there was no cheese on this pizza. When I called them back, they said they did put cheese on the pizza so there is nothing they can do. Thank you much. I'm here at home, shredding my own cheese to put on a pizza I paid 32 dollars for, as if I live in the future collapsed society that everyone else has yet to experience fully. Thank you for this unique experience. Years from now, when I order a pizza from a place that isn't completely insane, I will never take for granted the fact that my pizza will likely come to me with cheese already on it, melted even. I will relish so much in this observation that I will overcompensate and give that place a way more positive review than it probably warranted.
Below you can find a picture of a slice of my taco pizza with the lettuce and tomatoes removed, so that you too can see where our quality of life as a society is headed.
If you are lactose intolerant, please feel free to order here, as it will likely be...
