We were referred to this cute “local” place by Holly at North Shore Soap Factory (another great place to visit). We were told that Waialua Bakery has great sandwiches (all fresh ingredients) and is owned by a local family. The menu provided us with an abundance of choices for sandwiches, but the Açaí bowl caught our attention. We also ordered the “hunk” of bread. The Açaí bowl was delicious and included granola and fresh banana. The hunk of bread had two toppings - cinnamon and honey (delicious) and extremely generous portions. The employee who assisted us was very friendly and helpful with guiding us with our options. I look forward to going back and trying other items.

Another great visit to Waialua bakery, hadn't been it a while and nothing has changed. The food is still great and it's still cash only so be prepared. They have a cash machine but it's broken right now, worst case there is a market next door that you can get cash at. The food is fresh and delicious. We all got sandwiches and unfortunately I was so ready to eat I didn't snap a pic ☹️ I had my BLT and it was LOADED with bacon and the fresh wheat bread was on point. Everyone else had hungry Hawaiians and they looked amazing. If you're going to the beach on the North shore or just want a good lunch spot definitely check them out

Fresh food, good portions, good pricing, adorable ambiance, friendly service. 10/10! Loved the Tangy Sensation smoothie, it was like having an super delicious frozen lemonade. Good option for the health-conscious, and fun seeing some cutie lizards and baby chickens wandering outside. Prices are a tiny bit different from what’s on their website due to inflation. Look at the photos people have posted of the in-store menu for accurate pricing :)

(2025 update-- STILL BEST SANDWICHES ON THE ISLAND-- some things have had to get smaller instead of more expensive, but it is just as fabulous as always.) ALWAYS the best. GO! SPECTABULOUS sandwiches, awesome blends of smoothies, and amAzing treats! Lots of places I love, but between this and Cholos, just doesn't get old. And customer service and respect are ALWAYS awesome. Great food, fresh food, good variety, spectacular prices for anyplace. Where it is and what they provide, they could EASILY riase their prices 50%. But they don't bc they take care of the local crowd. (But the day you have to, we will totally...

Food is pretty good. But employees aren't wearing masks properly, or at all in some cases. Also allowing customers into the tiny space and not enforcing mask wearing.

Edit: dropping rating because every time we've been here, they are letting people in that aren't wearing masks. And they say nothing, even though masks are REQUIRED BY LAW. Employees not wearing masks over noses, or at all, every time. No longer going to support this business. Which is a shame because it's otherwise a great local business with great sandwiches. But the disconcern for public health is a deal breaker. Not coming back until they take...
