First time at Pallotta, and it won't be my last. Visited last Saturday after placing my order online. I ordered 3 things, a pizza bowl (where you can add any 3 toppings that you want), a kids chicken strips with fries, and the Number 84 pasta. First off the pizza bowl, I added pepperoni, red, green, yellow bell peppers, and artichoke hearts. Surprisingly, it was a really good combination of flavors in a bowl. The bowl looked a bit oily. Maybe it's because of the artichoke hearts. Not too worry though, it came with some bread with a side of what tasted like like garlic butter. That garlic butter by the way, was amazing. Back to the pizza bowl, I dipped my bread in that leftover oil, and it soaked it all in which to me was great. I ate the whole thing and I got full. The Number 84 pasta entrée was perhaps one of my boyfriend's favorite pasta dishes in a very long time. He ate every bite of that but he did say that it needed a bit of salt. I had a taste of it and I agree but it was still good. My son had the kids chicken strips and he ended up liking it. He got full before he ate it though. Our meals came with a side salad with Bleu cheese dressing and a minestrone soup. That soup was really good. The service was top notch despite it not being busy. Even one of the ladies offered me water while I waited, which doesn't happen often. I will be back to try the tiramisu next time.

It was a normal day, lots of work and little to eat. I was scavenging for a place to suffice my eating needs, when a saw "Wood Ridge Plaza: Pallotta's Italian Grill" At first glance it seemed somewhat decent, so I decided to give it a shot. As I walked in the place was loud and packed, but everyone seemed to be in a happy mood, so I figured that this place does'nt seem all that bad. The hostess sat me at a table and I looked through the contents of my menu. The menu was full to the brim, from the simplest of pastas to the specific healthy choices. I decided to go with the mussels and the Shrimp fondue. Bread came to suffice my needs as I wait, it was perfectly fresh and delicous. Once the fondue came my nostrils were filled with joy, my mouth watered as I quickly made my first dip into the creamy goodness and devoured the bread in my hand like a starving dog. Finally the mussels arrived and I ate away, the freshness tasted godly and the sauce was the best I had in over 2 decades. - Moral of the story; strip center restraunts are not what they seem Check out Pallotta's and see for yourself If you don't pay attention to the bad reviews they are 4-9 month old reviews and all the recent reviews are all very good ones so check this place out!

I wanted to like this place. The birthday boy requested it because he's been there before and said it was great. We are both big fans of Italian food, so we gave it a try on a Tuesday evening. Walking in, I was not too impressed with the decor or restaurant setup. But, I never judge a restaurant by looks (as long as it's clean). I'm there for the food. First, we ordered an appetizer, which was fried cheese. It came with garlic bread and a bowl of marinara. This was very good. For the main course, I had the Trio. It came with a soup, which was good except the cheese was sticking to my teeth like bubble gum. I have never experienced this in the past. I am still perplexed today as to why the mozzarella in that soup did that. When I got the Trio, things got worse. The Alfredo sauce on the pasta was very runny. The lasagna was a pile of mush. The appearance and taste were not good. The chicken was not too bad, but I have eaten much better food at the Olive Garden. All in all, my food experience was not good. Maybe it was a bad night for the Trio. For what it's worth, the best part of our dinner was the bread and the one fried ravioli I tried off my buddy's plate.

Hands down the worst customer service and worst dining experience we have had. Reserved a table for 10 at 4:30 for my son’s 6 Birthday.

20 mins into getting there the waitress knocks over a glass of red wine on her tray spilling it down my dad’s back. My Dad’s clothes were soaked and my moms leather purse and jacket were also covered in red wine. While the spilling of the wine was an accident it was how the accident was handled. The manager came over offered everyone towels, asked what happened, and then said, “I’m glad everyone is good.” And comped my Dad’s glass of wine… nothing else was done to correct the situation. It was as if it was no big deal to anyone working there. That’s how the dinner started and everything after that went down hill. We waited a really long time just to get our salads. The waitress said she would be back with our bread. Everyone was done eating and still no bread. I had to go and try to find her to ask if we could please get some bread but instead was helped by the manager. I originally had ordered just a water because I hadn’t yet had time to look at the drink menu, and the waitress says she would come back in a little to take my drink order. It’s been an hour since we sat down and she has not come back for my drink order, so again I have to get up to go find her. I ask for a coke and she comes back with a Diet Coke. Our main meal again, takes a really long time to come out. When it does, the girl has zero recollection of who ordered what so it’s quite the event just to get the right meal to the right person. At which point, meals are incorrect and missing. I ended up just returning my meal and eating nothing because it has taken so ridiculously long to get the food. My son and my sister finally received their food after everyone was done eating. It was awful!I felt so embarrassed and awful for this dinner experience. We had brought my sons birthday cake into the restaurant to cut and have there, but instead we all agreed to take the cake back home and just do it there because the past two hrs at this restaurant were so unpleasant.

It was painfully clear that our young waitress had little experience in being a sever and was not at all ready to be assigned a large table. We all felt bad for her because she was clearly embarrassed about all the mistakes, BUT at no point did she do anything to try to compensate for those mistakes or make any effort to make sure the rest of the dinner was a better experience. It was as though because she was embarrassed she came over to our table as little as possible. She should have asked someone for help and the manager should have never had her waiting large parties, and with all the mistakes we were having should have stepped in to do something.

I also let the hostess know that the dinner was for my son’s birthday and at no point did anyone make any mention of it or acknowledge the special occasion. Not looking for anything free, but usually the waiter/waitress acknowledges a birthday reservation in conversation. But nothing except for my son getting his dinner after everyone was finished with theirs.

None of our families will ever be going back and we all agreed this to be a dinner we will never forget.

The Staff, management, and service here cannot be described as anything more than poor.

It’s just sad because you can’t get a birthday...

WORST RESTAURANT I’VE EVER BEEN TO! Never before I was asked at a restaurant to give a certain amount of tip on top of what I considered to tip the server an the food. Yes!!! This happened here. The owner/manager….stopped me and my husband, right before leaving the restaurant, at the front door(in front of the other people eating)to give more tip, because $10 was not enough, BUT never asked me why I tipped that much. He ASKED ME to give him more money$$$$ for the tip, while I was trying to explained that $32 tip is just a suggestion and really depends on how was my experience.

In the United States, a tip is not legally required and the amount of the tip is at the discretion of the customer.

HERE IS MY EXPERIENCE: -The waitress/server, did not make us feel welcome , just asked how many are you? without even smiling. -We had to asked twice for straws, because not all our beverages came with it. Straws not wrapped. -The salad did not look or taste good. -My food, the Trio, was COLD, the Alfredo pasta didn’t taste good at all(first time I denied to eat Alfredo pasta). -The Kid’s pepperoni pizza tasted like Chuck’n Cheese personal pizza. -Pineapple juice was not good. -The waitress/server(same person) was not having a good day, I guess. Every time we ask for something her actitud was ugly. …. And on top of that, I was asked to tip more before leaving. I could not believe this was really happening. I have been to many restaurants low and high class, and never experienced something crazy like this. END OF THE STORY… I gave him $20 more. But FOR SURE, he will be losing more than me in long run…customers, confidence, blessings, business. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. There is way to many restaurants out there to choose from. You will be the only one I will...
