China Hut has been a staple in my life for the better part of 20 years, and it’s a place I continue to visit whenever I'm in the area. I was first introduced to it by an old friend, who claimed that they had some of the best ceviche he had ever tasted. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first—after all, it’s called China Hut. But then, I learned about the deep history of Chinese immigration to Peru and how their influence on Peruvian cuisine gave rise to the culinary fusion known as "Chifa Peruano." That context changed everything for me, and my appreciation for China Hut only grew from there. My introduction to ceviche happened right here at China Hut, and it was love at first bite. Since that moment, I've been hooked. The ceviche mixto, or mixed ceviche, is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. It's fresh, flavorful, and has a perfect balance of tanginess and spice that keeps me coming back for more. Even though the original owners aren't around day-to-day as much anymore, the quality has remained consistent. The restaurant is quite a drive from where I live now, but whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by. Aside from the ceviche, the lomo saltado is phenomenal. It’s one of those dishes you can’t help but crave after you’ve had it. The flavors of the stir-fried beef, onions, tomatoes, and crispy fries meld together beautifully, creating a truly satisfying dish. Though I usually opt for takeout, I’ve had the pleasure of dining in a few times. The service has always been great—attentive and friendly. The ambiance in the restaurant is laid-back, and the clientele is always a mix of people, which I think adds to the charm of the place. It feels like a local favorite that attracts all sorts of people for its unique and delicious food. Over the years, I've tried both the Chinese and Peruvian dishes, and they’ve never disappointed. The fusion of these two cuisines is truly special, and China Hut executes it brilliantly. Just today, I had a proud moment when my son tried the ceviche for the very first time—and to my delight, he loved it. It felt like passing the torch of a tradition that started for me so many years ago. If you’re looking for authentic Chifa Peruano, don’t wait. Get in your car and make your way to China Hut. Whether you’re craving ceviche, lomo saltado, or one of their Chinese dishes, you’re going to leave pleasantly surprised and thoroughly satisfied. It’s a hidden gem that’s stood the test of time, and I’ll be coming back for as long as they keep serving up their incredible food.

Gotta have the Chaufa Rice!!! Update 1/23/2021 I don’t know how to feel about writing this update. 1st let me say since Kim Wu’s is closed now... China Hut may have the best Chinese food in orlando. Now, I ordered food for delivery yesterday. When I got my food delivered, the 2 containers were stacked one above the other. The bottom of the cheap foam container that was on top melted on top of the 2nd foam container below. So the orange chicken fell on the floor. Almost all of it. 3 little pieces survived. That’s it! I was sooo disappointed. Then, to add insult to injury, they’ve changed the recipe for the fantail shrimp. It’s a dense dry breading. More breading than shrimp. I also only got one order of it even though I ordered 2. I was very excited to get the food then disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at China Hut in Orlando, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. If you’re a fan of Chifa cuisine—the fusion of Chinese and Peruvian flavors—this place is a must-visit! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Kam Lu Wantan, a classic Chifa dish featuring crispy fried wontons tossed in a sweet and savory sauce with a mix of meats and vegetables. It was perfectly cooked—crispy, and flavorful. The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to explain the menu for those unfamiliar with Chifa dishes. Our food came out quickly, and they even checked in to ensure we were enjoying everything.

DANGER DANGER AWAITS YOU AT CHINA HUT!! I have to rate this restaurant 1 star unfortunately because Google won't let me give them a 0. This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1/4 of the 1 star that I am being forced to put. THIS RESTAURANT SHOULNDT EVEN BE OPEN, THERE IS ABSOLUTLEY NO HYGIENE THEY BROUGHT ME USED STRAWS AND THE WAITRESS KNEW THEY WERE USED SHE LOOKED ME RIGHT IN THE EYE WHEN SHE HANDED THEM TOO ME, SHE DIDNT EVEN WASH HER FACE OR ANYTHING. The food was terrible, it had somewhat of a Peruvian taste but my arroz Chaufa pieces of animal fat! I'm writting this review to save your lives this restaurant is unsanitary and just flat out awful don't go there I don't want you people to die. I ordered my food knowing that it was nasty I don't know what I was thinking. I HONESLTY don't know what restaurant these people who wrote the reviews above went too! IM 100 PERCENT SURE THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT CHINA HUT WROTE THOSE REVIEWS. I CANT REST AT NIGHT KNOWING THAT CHINA HUT IS STILL OPEN I HAVE NIGHTMARES OF THE FOOD MY STOMATCH STILL HURTS AND I WENT THERE JANUARY 2nd OF 2016 NOW ITS JANUARY 3RD AND I STILL CANT GET OVER HOW BAD THE FOOD IS. Beware I tell you don't let these good reviews deceive you they are lies!...

I’ve been coming to this place from over 20 years. The food was always great and the service has always been excellent. Never a complaint. The servers usually know what we want and know what they have on their menu. It seems as if the changed their staff recently as I went there last night 4/27/19 and my server was the worst. My husband and daughter asked for pork roast and instead they got boneless spare ribs and when they said that’s not what they ordered the server said that’s what we call it. That was mistake number one. It was horrible. The rice was not cooked completely as it still had some dry/hard parts and I know about rice as I make rice on a daily basis. Every time someone in my table needed a refill we had to somehow get my servers attention as she wasn’t paying attention. I spend around $70 if not more. She did not know her menu, what was offered. I was very sad as my service was so poor. I must say since they changed their staff and the it’s obvious they also changed the cook I will no longer be going to this restaurant. I rather spend my money somewhere else. It’s a shame that after giving this place a nicer look their service is going down the drain. I wish they will read this and do...
