I love the Denny's brand... and my server was nice and accommodating. However, when we got our food my husband's over-medium eggs were not cooked all the way and still had raw, slimy membrane in the eggs. We told the server who promptly took the eggs back for a replacement, and then eventually returned the whole plate because the membrane leaked all over the rest of his food (to avoid salmonella/ecoli) and gave him another plate of the Lumberjack Slam. But a different server returned back to the table with his plate of food. My husband was about to dig into the hash browns and noticed a dark brown hair sticking out of the pile of hash browns... So GROSS! He pulled it out and laid it on paper place mat under his plate to show the server and management the hair. By this time he was starving and had sent his food back twice. He was quite frustrated and just wanted to eat, but the combination of half raw eggs and the presence of a random hair in his food had grossed him out. He ate what he could and dumped the rest.... especially the immediate areas around where the hair was. We love the Denny's brand but we likely won't be returning to THIS location again. Too many nasty things, and I really don't want to have worry that our food isn't cooked thoroughly or that there's something in it. Check your food before you put it near your mouth.
This was the worst Denny's experience I have ever had in my life & I guarantee, I will not be going back. 1st off once we got to the store I went to the bathroom & there was no heat. They had a space heater plugged into the wall. The socket & cord were on the sink counter (pictures coming upon update of this review) I went in with a birthday voucher & ordered the grand slam which was offered. I also ordered a side of hash browns. I didn't even get half way through my meal before I found hair in my hash brown. I ordered a cold brew coffee which was only brown water. I brought this attention to the server who took my plate away & asked a couple of times if I wanted to replace it with anything. Obviously no. She reached the manager (Mary) who showed me a $25 bill for an American slam & coffee that my husband ordered. She stated that the birthday voucher won't be added. & That I'm free to use it another time. I will not. I had multiple questions & concerns about the bill but she walked away while I was asking questions. She didn't even rectify the situation. She wasn't giving me a deal on anything because the voucher was for a free breakfast anyway, so I did not get a resolution for this experience. Expecting for some other actions to be taken. I will be contacting the corporate phone number & email about...
Read moreWe went in when the restaurant was empty. Problem 1: We were seated at a table where the booth seat was dirty. I just wiped away dried up food with my hand and sat down. Problem 2: There was a menu on the floor under the booth. I left it there. It’s not my job to clean the floor. Problem 3: I ordered coffee, and had to ask for a spoon and cream. The server walked away after giving me coffee when there was clearly no kind of eating utensils at the table. Problem 4: we got our food and had to ask for eating utensils. Problem 5: we had no salt shaker. At this point we were tired of the issues, so my husband decided to grab a salt shaker from a nearby table. He did this 3 times because every salt shaker was so filthy on top, the salt would not come out. I had to open the top to get salt. Obviously they don’t clean anything.
The server was nice and probably didn’t have experience. The restaurant should teach its employees to clean up when they have down time. It is unacceptable to be seated some place dirty and to not even be able to use the salt because a kid most likely licked it and no one bother to clean it. We are no longer going back. We’ve had issues every time we go. We can never just have a smooth unproblematic dining experience at...
