What a delightful surprise made from a recommendation made from a friendly stranger who used to work at this establishment. The service- honestly the friendliest people who joke and make you feel like you're family or long time friends from high school. The atmospehere- clean, plush red seats, black table tops, and nice edison-style incandescent lamp fixtures to highlight the nice bar, coupled with multiple tv's playing the latest sports for the evening. The food- wow. Completely unexpected for a bar sit-down. They grind their own prime rib to a perfection for their burgers and meatloaf. The pasta- spaghetti pomodoro, was prepared perfectly, al dente with just the right balance of cheese and seasoning. And finally the cocktails- old fashioned(s), how many different variations can this place have? 4, or was it 5?

If you're visiting the east bay or live here, this delightful place is a 'must'.

The owners here really know how to make you feel welcome. The food menu is concise without any filler and everything they serve is delicious! Currently my favorites from here are the pork lumpia and the French dip sandwich. Jeff is very attentive and really knows his way behind the bar. Ann Marie does a great job making sure everyone is taken care of and brings a wonderful personality to the place. Og lunch box fan here, I always got 2 hot plates with salads on the side. (Guess who). Anyway this menu features the world's best meatloaf that was available at the lunch box at one time. Always do delivery with dinnerhouse, huge portions and killer to go plates that are totally reusable. Had the spaghetti as well sauce was to die for. Impossible to...
