Absolutely terrible service. Iâm a regular customer and have never had an experience this bad anywhere. I called twice, and both times the guy put me on hold forever and then hung up while I was trying to place my usual order. When he first picked up, he had a nasty attitude right away and wouldnât even let me speak... he was being rude and yelling for no reason. I tried to be patient and repeat myself multiple times because he kept saying he couldnât hear me, but the issue wasnât on my end. It was the music blasting in the background on their side that made it hard to hear him properly.
We still gave them the benefit of the doubt and went in person. When we got there and tried to place our order again, the same guy immediately got defensive and cut us off. We asked if he was the one we talked to on the phone, and he started yelling about how they didnât sell certain items anymore, like the cheeto burrito and chicken burrito. We told him he couldâve just said that from the startâhow were we supposed to know if he never communicated it? He completely denied being rude. We were being respectful, trying to explain that weâre regulars who order the same thing all the time, and that their 'website' is just a link to their Instagram, so we have to rely on the most recent menu available on Yelp. But instead of listening, he continued to verbally attack us. Rather than just saying something wasnât available, he chose to raise his voice and treat us like we were the problem. Really disappointing.
Before we arrived, I did call the second location to ask to speak with someone in charge to share what happened directly, since I didnât want to post a public review without giving them a chance to know and address it first. I kindly explained that this is the first impression customers are getting of their service, and it matters. The person I spoke to on the phone did apologize for the experience. But after what we experienced in person, the issue went from frustrating to completely...
Read moreSomething has changed there. My previous review from a year ago was very positive about this place. Last night went to get dinner, and 2nd encounter with a young lady working at the window who - without a doubt - should be fired. She did not get my order right and blamed me for it. I asked her to correct the order and got resistance. And, what I left with was not the same quality I had before. It was good food, I will say that, but very sloppy. On a side note, the young woman at the front window had super long nails and she seemed to have trouble navigating around that. Besides her friends gathered at the door who she was more focused on. If I call to order again and she answers I will start going somewhere else. This is a big change from what I originally wrote. I miss the amazing energy your greeters and order takers at the wind used to have. 5 - Stars: It's good food. Everytime we go there whomever is up front is really nice, humble...

Menu is your standard tex-mex offerings with most items under ten bucks, and seven protein choices. If fact, the only item on menu with quadruple digits is burrito de camaron & steak at $12.95.
My super burrito weight in at a little over a pound and half. Rice are fluffy perfectly cook and not broken up. Carne asada (steak) wasn't dry or hard. It was seasoned well and juicy with no fat or gristle attached easy on the jaws. Chips were warm and a little oily only because it came out of fryer basket previously.
A much needed taqueria in downtown oakland long ago. I must say that competitors nearby be aware, there's a new sheriff in town. Cash only for now until POS CC terminal is up and running. Dine-in/to-go and alcohol is available yet,...
