Cafe Uccello — Restaurant in Oakland

Lovely little downtown cafe that serves good coffee and excellent breakfast Croissants (had the ham, egg & cheese).The service was absolutely excellent.

I was wondering why the secondary room where you go to sit is so bland. The first part where you order your food is totally cute. Then you go into the seating area and it's acoustic tiles and fluorescent lighting like you would find in a business cubicle.

Not exactly relaxing or fun when you're trying to have a coffeehouse experience.

I would totally remodel that if I were you. Paint your walls. Something other than a bland white and get rid of the acoustic office ceiling tile. I absolutely hate fluorescent lighting. I mean I hate fluorescent lighting! It would be easy to make that second room cool.

Otherwise, great food, good coffee and excellent service.

Let me say that again. It was excellent service. I hope you are paying your employees...

I have never been more satisfied with customer service in my life. I feel like apart of the family. The atmosphere is so beautiful and inviting. The food is muaah chefs kiss amazing and the drinks are to diiieeeee for. I love getting introduced to new smoothies and flavors. Nayelis smoothie skills are off the chain every time I ask for a surprise and I have never been disappointed😩 her skills are impeccable. My favorite food is the chicken panini my mouth is watering thinking about it the chicken taste so good the sandwich taste fresh and flavorful if you are a spice person I recommend asking for extra spicy it will change your life. I will literally never forget the taste of this sandwich😍 or the amazing customer service I always receive. No matter what I do or where I go in life I will always make time to dine in...

We chose Cafe Uccello based on the reviews. It seemed great. I ordered the peach crepe, which is described on the menu as having warm peaches, butter, cream and ricotta cheese. When it was served it was just cold canned peaches, no butter, no cream and no apparent ricotta. When I asked about the other ingredients the staff said they didn’t even have butter or cream. They said the ricotta was mixed with water and squirted in a pattern on top of the crepe, and they didn’t know why the menu said this crepe comes with all the other things. So, in a nutshell the menu advertises things that apparently never get made there. It was a big waste of time and money. The food was terrible and coffee only okay.
