Biryani Kabab Halal Indian and Pakistani Cuisine — Restaurant in Oakland

It is extremely rare that I write a negative review about a restaurant or a small business. This is because I feel they work hard and sometimes I have to give a benefit of doubt if there is something I don't like. I visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner and I ordered goat karahi and rice. I started eating and something didn't feel right about the smell of the food. I took the food to the lady behind the counter and she said it is the smell of karahi masala. I took the dish back to my table and started eating again. I swear to god, the meat was smelling extremely bad. The piece of the meat I put in my mouth was gummy / chewy, and I was scared so much that I just spit it out. I challenged them and that's when the lady said that they will not take goat orders anymore for that day. I am posting this message in the interest of the safety of the public. Please be extremely careful. It is extremely shameful that they are breaking the trust of customers who come to eat at their restaurant. I think the lady offered me some other dish as a replacement but I had serious concerns about their quality. I immediately left. It was hands down one of the best biryanis I’ve ever had. I also ordered Goat curry and the goat was delicious tender, cooked perfectly and full of spices. LOved it!!

ZERO STARS AT BEST; WORST PLACE EVER. This is neither an Indian nor Pakistani restaurant- its a Nepalese restaurant. Food- is awful at best- zero stars. ordered the below -all recommendations by the girl on the counter: Mixed Veggie Pakora- Like cardboard- TASTELESS-can neither chew nor swallow- 0/10 2.Chicken Chili- Harder than item #1 above- so hard and bad- you will break your teeth chewing on this item 3.Palak Paneer- all Palak 1 piece of paneer- no salt- no taste- just mixed the walmart frozen spinach and added a cube of Paneer to it- super bad- avoid 4.Chicken Tikka Masala- No flavor- cubed peices of half cooked chicken in some gravy that was atrocious at best They reheat the food and give you the meat- a family of 5 that was by us- was complaining about the quality of food- the tikka items they oirdered they said were stale and from the day before.
