Shapeshifters Café — Restaurant in Oakland

This is what a coffee shop should be - local, friendly, affordable and a comfortable place to just sit and relax. That perfectly describes Autobahn, which not only has some great fairtrade coffee and espresso drinks (chai tea was especially awesome), but also a decent selection of fresh pastries and a breakfast/lunch menu as well. A real gem of a cafe in the Jack London District that took me way too long to discover, however I will definitely be back. Delicious egg sandwich, solid coffee (Mr Espresso) and very friendly staff. The space is a beautiful renovation of classic residential home. I had the French toast special, which was only $10! I watched them make the sauce and it was incredible. Not many places in the Bay Area where you get this combination of price and quality. Iced coffee was solid too. Will 💯 return when I am back...
