Buona Vita Pizzeria — Restaurant in Ocean City

Ordered here for room service. When I called down to place the order the phone just rang busy. After a few times of doing this, I went down to place my order. They said the phones were down. I placed my order, the girl taking the order kept checking the menu to figure out the price and asking other employees if they had certain items. After taking payment for said order (spaghetti, garlic knots, fries, single slice of pepperoni pizza) the girl said it would be 15 minutes and they would bring my food up for my room service. This took place at 10pm they close at 11pm. At 1040pm I still had not received my food and they were closing in 20 minutes. I could not call down because the phones didn't work so I went down again. I came up to the counter and saw they were pulling the spaghetti out of the oven 🤔. I told them I was told 15 minutes and it has been 40 minutes. The manager (only person who seemed to understand western language) said the food has been made and there was nothing he can do. I told him I should not have to come and get my room service (defeats the point). He said he didn't care and would not give any money back to me. The manager did offer to still deliver the now ready food to my room even though I was standing in front of him. Feeling displeased with the service I took up the manager on his offer and was accompanied back to my room with one of his employees who was holding my food. We rode the elevator up together and she came right to my door handed me the food and apologized. As displeased as I was with the service it did not compare to the food. The garlic knots were cold. The spaghetti had a weird spice in it. The spaghetti does come with a tomato sauce with it. This tomato sauce was about 2 inches of water and an actual whole tomato 😳. The pizza is an old family recipe that im gonna let you in on: make dough, make sauce, put on cheese, put on pepperoni, cook, remove from oven, freeze pizza and serve. Ice cold is an understatement. Wish I could give a 0 star. Terrible experience. Staff was clueless, slow, rude and apathetic. Person taking order did not know the menu and kept having to reference it when I was placing order. It took forever to finally get a simple order even though the place was almost empty when we arrived. Spaghetti and meatballs were decent, that is the only positive comment I can give.. Sausage Parmesan sandwich had about 15 quarter size pieces of sausage (actual width of a quarter also), most of which were burnt. Sauce was awful. They served 2 pieces of sausage pizza that was clearly old and not even heated up. Cheese was not even melted. It was a miserable dinner. Grossly overpriced even for the boardwalk. I would not have minded the price if the food was good but it was miserable. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review for a restaurant, I usually just move on. This restaurant deserves it and after reading some of these reviews, I see many others had a similar experience. Manager was unresponsive and not even a little bit interested in satisfying the customer. She should be ashamed of herself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are too many restaurants in Ocean City to waste your time and money on this one. Wish I had checked the reviews before I walked...

We went here twice and second time waited for exactly an hour for a simple order that consisted of meatballs, a cheesesteak and slices of pizza they already had available! They have an arcade which can keep you busy for part of the hour you wait, but no one mans the ticket booth so the tickets are pretty much worthless.

Avoid this place unless you just need a few slices of pizza they already have ready; because their pizza is not bad; it’s actually pretty decent. Definitely better places around but if you want a quick pizza and don’t mind dealing with horrible service from people who act impatient even though they have a dozen employees not doing much, regardless of how busy they are: then the pizza isn’t bad. The one nice thing I can say about it.
