Buxy's Salty Dog Saloon — Restaurant in Ocean City

This is a bar with character.

As soon as you enter, whether from the front or back door, you'll immediately notice the immense amount of sports (Pittsburgh) memorabilia adorning the walls, ceiling, and even the floor (okay I'm joking about the last part). ...............................................

During one of my visits, I recall talking with a waitress about their collection and the sheer size of it, and she told me that over the years patrons (both local and far away) would drop off their memorabilia to be put on display, which I thought was a really neat thing that showcased the community that had been build up around this establishment!..................................................

Aside from some pretty sweet decor, Buxy's also has a nice lineup of musical entertainment throughout the weekend (Thursday - Sunday). Many of the musicians are from the Eastern Shore region, which if your visiting, I think would be pretty cool to see (I mean if you're gonna visit, why not immerse yourself fully in the local culture!)...............................................................

So, What About The Food?

Buxys Salty Dog is sports bar so they have all the normal dishes you would expect; Burgers, Wings, Cheesesteaks, Chicken Tenders, Wraps,Salads etc

But you'll quickly realize looking over the menu that Buxys is a place that likes to have fun and add some creative twists. I will be uploading pictures of their most current menu ( Summer 2015) so you can see for yourself!

I've eaten there about a dozen or so times this summer and have had only good experiences and can personally recommend the Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls, Pizza-style Pierogies, Chicken Tenders, Cheesesteak Sub, and their Pittsburgh Steak Salad. .........................................

As a quick side note: I would advise as with all eateries in Ocean City, be mindful of when you want to dine, we are in a resort/ tourist town which means there will be times when everywhere is packed and crowded. I have yet to eat at this establishment when it was slammed, but have been told by local patrons that when there is a wait, the staff is pretty good at entertaining waiting patrons as well as taking their drink order or even bringing out a basket of fries for the little ones...............................

Visited on 4/14/18 had a bad experience at this place of business. We are locals went to get a foot long hot dog for my daughter and i we sat down in the restaurant and they were not busy at all. The Waiter came by to get our order told her what we wanted i ordered a hot dog with mustard and onions and a side of relish and a bowl of french onion soup beer was order also, when the drinks came you always get a beer in a plastic cup with their logo on it to take home but no plastic cup and was told they never do that, they do cause o eat there serval times a year. Our food came and it was wrong not what i ordered they had grilled onions and mushrooms on the hot dog told the waitress that not wrong but she said that's what i ordered and it was not but after debt i got the onions and relish i ordered but still never got my french onion soup yet. Waited to see if my french onion soup came or not which it never did. Asked to speak to the manager he came over and listened but never said he was sorry or nothing but offered a free beer but i had a beer sitting on the table, but i do believe it's illegal to give away free drinks in the state of MD. After we we're completed with our lunch i was offered my soup on the house i wanted before my meal, they charged me for things that i didn't get like the mushrooms and grilled onions i didn't order. No sorry for our meals cause they were not right and didn't discount our meals at all. Manger seamed like he didn't care about us but the people sitting at the bar was the best thing since sliced bread, as i was walking out after paying the bill i saw the people sitting at the bar with the plastic cup with their logo on it so i guess people from Salisbury are not as important as his OC people we are locals to that's what keeps business open like that all year long. So my reviews on this restaurant is a two, i will not go back to this place of business when i am in OC, so use your own judgement when visiting this restaurant/bar. All in all i spoke to a different manager today and he was very concerned in what happened. He said he would make it up to me what a great person and he does not want this to happen to me again thanks to the manager i talked to today...

Place is a rip off.. Sorry to say.. Wife & I have been going to this place for the last 15 years, always went to the bar for drinks and play some Keno.. This time we brought other people with us so we sat down to eat..OMG what a scam they have going, 1st..we ordered some Hot wings, a pile of 6 wings came out with very little hot sauce on the top two wings, so I show our server that there was no sauce on the wings and asked for a little more.(had to remind her two times for the sauce) we finally got our hot sauce, so we get our bill and they charged us 50 cents for extra hot sauce. Are you kidding me? There was no sauce to begin with, and I showed the server the dry wings..there is more, lol.. So, after every order placed the server says, ok chips or fries with that? (Just like that) like they come with fries or chips. So when we get our bill we were charged $2.00 for every order of fries that sounded like they were suppose to come with what we ordered.. Now I never write bad reviews and the money won't make or break me. But this is so wrong to do to people. When I told the server how she made it sound like it came with our meals, she grinned and shrugged her shoulders.. To the Manager, owner, and servers.. After a order is placed you say WOULD YOU LIKE TO ADD FRIES TO YOUR ORDER! Stop Ripping people off or if your going to blame it on the server, then hire people that know what there doing, but it seemed like they knew what they are doing, up selling with out asking!
