Guido’s Burritos in Ocean City Maryland. This is located near Jolly Roger amusement park on 33rd street. The restaurant is a Mexican food place and has a lot of options that is available. They do have alcohol drinks. You must be 21+ to drink here. Prices can range from $10.00+ and has a lot of parking around the restaurant. Parking is free. Our visit was on Tuesday June 20, 2023.
As you drive up to the restaurant. You can see it’s a Mexican restaurant and looks amazing from the outside. It welcomes you from the outside and I really do enjoy that. After you park, You walk into the restaurant and see the hostess. She ask you how many you have and they sit you down. We had a tall table that was available to us during our visit. After the host left, then our waiter came by really fast and ask us “how we are going” we said “great” and she ask what do we want to drink. She was very nice and smiling the entire time. We got alcohol drinks, We had the Swedish fish and peach margarita drink. We then order our food. We order the enchiladas and got the Carne Asada tacos. We waiting about 15 minutes for the food which was really fast and began to eat.
The food was delicious. I had chicken with rice that was on the side of my enchiladas. The tacos was amazing and very tasty. The food was a 5/5 all star meal. We didn’t have any complaints.
The place is clean. Very well maintain and organized. You can tell that they keep with the place clean to make sure that the guest experience has the best possible outcome in their restaurant and that is something I love to see during any visit for a restaurant. The bathrooms was really clean and very maintain.
It’s really easy to navigate around the restaurant since it’s not big. They do have a full size bar if you don’t want a table. You have all the table and booths as you walk into the restaurant and the bar on the left. You can’t miss it. The bathrooms are on the right in the back.
The staff was amazing. Our waiter looked really happy and always came and checked on us to make sure if we need anything. She was very nice like I mentioned in my previous comment above. All the other staffed looked like they enjoyed the job. We had no issue with the staff.
We really did enjoy our dinner. The only reason the place didn’t get a 5 star is that we spent over $100.00 for our food and two drinks. For being a Mexican restaurant, that’s pretty high but I guess it’s pricey since they are in a tourist destination.
We do recommend this place but be prepared to spend an arm and leg for everything. Definitely if you are a big family. Make sure to go during the week since it’s seem least busy during our...
Read moreMy family owns a house one block from this restaurant. I love Mexican food so it’s awesome we can just walk down the street. Sadly, my friends and I will not be visiting this restaurant again due to the horrible customer service we experienced. I gave 2 stars because I’m not unreasonable. The food was good and the atmosphere was fun. Service was fairly quick. Waitress was just okay. Special requests for our orders were correct. It was the two managers we met that were incredibly unprofessional... The Story: Friday night, July 19th. Out on the town for a kid free ladies night. Having a great time when my friend found a beer bottle cap in the bowl of chips. It was not dropped on top, nor was it sitting on the bottom. It was deeper down under the fresh chips sitting on top of a pile of broken bits of chips. We immediately lost our appetites and asked to see a manager. After explaining our concern that part of our food had been recycled from another customer the manager argued with us and told us reusing chips is not their policy and could never happen because the restaurant does not lose money on the chips so there would be no advantage to reusing them. (His odd response made me wonder if they do reuse more expensive foods, just not the chips). We are not idiots. Of course it’s not your policy, but it happened OR at least appeared to have happened. How the bottle cap and small broken chips got there we will never know for sure, but it was disturbing nonetheless. He left us and said he’d take care of it. He returned with no apology, still telling us this didn’t happen, and coldly offers us 25% off the bill. My friend told him that was an unacceptable response and asked to talk to his supervisor. So we meet another manager who scoffed at us and continued to dismiss our concerns. We told him we would not be returning, but would be posting our reviews. “I’m sure you will” he smirked, and then just walked away. We paid the bill with cash and not a penny more. What has happened to common curtesy and good customer service?!? The whole thing could have been fixed with a simple, “I understand your concern. I don’t know how that could have happened, but I’ll take care of it. Your meal is on the house. Hope you’ll visit us again.” Customer service 101 - how hard is that? I would have been impressed and praising a...
Read moreWe recently went with a party of 12 for my future Brother in Law's Bachelor's party. The food was decent, and we were sat immediately on a Saturday night. Two members of our table could not eat Gluten (celiacs) and the Bachelor is allergic to Oranges. At every step of the way the waitress (Krystyna) made sure to triple check of ingredients as well as possible related allergies (all citrus versus just oranges). Even going so far as to bring the Bartender out to go over all the ingredients of a monster margarita. The Waitress Krystyna was always checking in and asking if there was anything we needed/she could do. I have not had better service from a waiter/waitress in many years. Although gratuity was included because of our party size (but she split the check the 11 different and itemized ways that we asked), most of us left additional tip on top. Never has someone deserved more than Krystyna, she single-handedly made the experience.
The food was average and the drinks were more than acceptable, if only a little bit pricey (it seems like all restaurants in Ocean City MD are on the more expensive side for what you get). They were nothing to complain about however.
My one gripe is the bathrooms; it wasn't a terribly busy Saturday night by the time that we went in (6 or 7pm) but the men's bathroom was one of the grosser and smellier bathrooms I've ever seen in a restaurant/bar. It certainly was not up to the same standards as the rest of the place. A quick mop a couple of times a night (once midday and once at closing) and an automatic air freshener...
