I'm at a loss. During "Ocean's Calling," my fiancé, friends, and I dined here and the experience was impeccable from start to finish. Service, ambiance, food - everything was on point. Naturally, my fiancé and son we were drawn back for a second time this weekend at the Ocean City Car Show, anticipating another delightful evening. Our return started off with promise. Our tall, young waiter efficiently took our orders, offering opinions when we were indecisive about which shrimp appetizer to get. We chose one based on his suggestion. However, he brought out both appetizers. We didn't ask for both, but we brushed it off. Mistakes happen, right? We also ordered the oyster stew and the mussels, which we had tried and loved the previous week. The real concern arose when we tasted the mussels. From the first bite, something was off. The distinct freshness we loved the previous week was replaced by an unsettling pungency. As I forced down the second mussel, trying to discern the odd flavor, my family also tried them and immediately spat them out. Upon bringing this to our waiter's attention, he quickly agreed that the mussels were spoiled and assured us it would be taken off our bill. Moments later, the ill effects hit me, and I found myself sick in the bathroom. Wanting to prevent others from the same unpleasant experience, I sought out the manager. I expected empathy, concern, and a sincere apology. What I received was indifference. The manager's response was to assure me the dish would be removed from our bill - something our waiter had already done - and to inform me that he'd check the kitchen. He neither asked where we were seated nor did he bother to come to our table to extend an apology or a gesture of goodwill. His complete lack of genuine concern was further exemplified as he walked past me later on without any acknowledgment. Also, it's worth noting the inconsistencies in service. Unlike our previous visit, we weren't served bread this time. And while Harrison's offers bottomless sides, our reorder was botched. Second oversight of the evening. While our initial visit to Harrison's Harbor Watch was great, this experience highlighted an alarming inconsistency in both their food quality and management's response to genuine concerns. It's unfortunate that what could have been an easy situation to manage and resolve has left such a lasting...

We were there on an off-season Sunday night so we weren’t expecting the best. So when we got perfection, we were thrilled!!! I’m from Cape Cod and hubby travels over seas often. That’s important for later. The crab dip was delicious and the mini loaves of toasted bread delicious (The regular table bread was warm sourdough. Yum). Chunks of crab with enough sauce and plenty of cheese topping’. Excellent Now. I love swordfish so I ordered it.
SWORDFISH HARBORWATCH 36.95 eight ounce blackened steak, tomato basil lobster cream sauce, twin grilled shrimp
When it arrived in a pan, swimming in liquid, apparently I was visibly concerned. Hubby ordered
FISH FRY 22.95 hand dipped fillets in Yuengling beer batter with our homemade tartar sauce (Funny because we live in the town where Yuengling is from).
Let me tell you that nothing could have prepared me for the sorcery that was that swordfish, topped with shrimp, tomato mixture and swimming in liquid…goodness. Whoa. Swordfish in sauce? Yes. Swordfish with shrimp? Yes. Swordfish with tomatoes and all the rest??? Yesyesyesyes Order it if you like swordfish. Trust me The fish itself was blackened on the out and superbly tender in the inside. Because it’s a dense meat it doesn’t get soggy with the sauce. Even left over!!!
Ok. The fried fish was equally amazing. Hubby frequents Ireland etc and is really picky about his fish and chips . These were the closest he’s ever had in the US. The French fries were cooked perfectly and crispy. The coleslaw was sweet, crunchy and slightly tangy.
These dishes came with unlimited, UNLIMITED side dishes. Who does that? All of the staff were wonderful. Sometimes at the shore, especially off-season, they can be not so accommodating. But our hostess sat us in a fantastic windows both (it WAS a quiet Sunday night) and our server Tucker, was awesome. I could go on and in but they don’t really need it. All you need to know is it was beyond perfect. We were tired, windswept and unkempt. They didn’t care. The place was very friendly and casual. The food, however, was not. It was the star of the night and everyone should...
