Went in today, the wait was 40 minutes. We told the check in lady our last name to be placed on waitlist. We were going across the street and be back to get our table, came back in after 35 minutes only for the lady to tell us that our name was not on waitlist and they needed our number. Well, she should have asked for it when we gave her our last name. There was no excuse when we came in, no line for her to drop the ball. Did not appreciate the younger coworker, who was not there when we gave the check in lady our name, lecturing me that I should not yell at her coworker which there was no yelling. Simply put I told her that there are so many people that come out of town that do not know the waitlist protocol that when we gave her our name she should have asked for our phone number. Common sense in customer service? Reputation is everything. I will never come back again and I will never refer my friends and family to come here again. Trust me know many people in area, and outside. What a waste of time waiting for over 35 minutes for nothing, then get attitude for...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming to the Shore for over a decade. We’re always looking for a new spot to create Shore memories. She found Hooked on Breakfast online and we loved it! The service from the waitress was superb! Very high marks to her. The breakfast options were so numerous. We glanced an eye at everything coming out of the kitchen. Everything looked great! I tried the daily special, the “sushi breakfast”, an ingenious use of crepes with strawberries and blueberries, served with an apple tart wrapped like an egg roll. Her Berry waffles were so thick and well done. The coffee mugs were cute, and offered a deep well of morning java. The only compliant I’ll offer: despite a long wait list (a great sign for a new business), the hostess sat a group of suspected locals shortly after they arrived and waited only 5 minutes, while the rest of us had to wait more than 30 minutes. This practice no doubt occurs all over the island, and most of us Shoobies are likely oblivious to it, but worth noting in a review when it...
Read moreSadly I have to write a bad review. Went to breakfast today (June 30th), prime week down Ocean City. We got to the restaurant at 7:30am when they open at 7am with a party of 6 people. There was tables available to sit outside we requested to sit outside was turned down those seats. The OWNER said they only had one small booth to sit our party inside. This wasn’t true there was plenty of other seating that would have sat our party comfortably but she refused to allow us to sit at a table or accommodate and request. It was pretty much her way or not. So I looked at my husband and said to her could we have a moment to speak. My kids were right behind me and the owner told my kids “common kids move out of the way”. I’m not really sure who speaks to people that way or how the owner could speak to children that way being a teacher herself. However after dinning there multiple times we will not be back. Instead we went to CJs in Summers Point. Highly suggest going there. Great food no wait...
