My husband and I decided to stay at the Bayberry Inn for a long weekend fron July 24th thru the 28th. We origanlly booked thru the 27th but we requested the extra night shortly after booking and were delighted that innkeepers Bonnie and David could accomodate! They were also willing and able to accomodate a dietary request with grace. I was so grateful because it is hard for me to talk about and they made every effort to not only accomodate the need but showed remarkable kindness. ||We stayed in the Rose room. The bed was comfy, the space clean. I was grateful for the mini fridge! It was perfectly cozy for the two of us. We got glimpses of some of the other rooms and they, too, were adorably cozy!! Would go and stay happily in any of them.||The whole house is gorgeous and welcoming. David and Bonnie are amazing. They keep up with it beautifully as well as cook some of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Coffee is availabe nice and early on the gorgeous front porch and in the afternoon we enjoyed iced tea and cookies. Their little fur baby Amber is just the cutest addition to the experience but you must be ready to offer belly rubs! ||The Inn is just blocks away from the beach, boardwalk, and so many great restaurants. Very convenient. ||We are very much looking forward to...
Read moreFrom the moment we saw the inn we knew we were going to like our stay. Dave carried my bag all the way into our quaint Victorian room. On the way he described the Inn and what businesses were in the immediate area. We met his wife Bonnie. They are both the kind of people we love. Our room had a queen bed...nite stand and lamp... A beautiful antique dresser...small fridge and nice flat screen tv. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower and a shelf over the iron radiator which was perfect to store personal items. We toured the other rooms with Dave....all are very nice and they kept to the Victorian era in decor. Bfast is at 8:30am and it is quite the gourmet feast! Bonnie is the best bfast maker around. One of us had a dietary concern and we appreciated her thoughtfulness in coming up with an alternative. A nice touch was the freshly brewed pitcher of iced tea...ice bucket and a nice container of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The inn is just a short 3 blocks to the boards. There is Romeo diagonally across from the inn...Ann eat in-take out Italian place...and Varsity Inn for bfast and lunch in the same area. We had a delightful stay. I would whole heartily recommend this place. Thank you...
Read moreMy wife and I recently returned to Bayberry Inn for our second stay, and again, it defied all expectations. The owners were happy to accommodate an after-hours arrival, which we communicated with them well in advance. This was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms and common areas are full of character and impeccably clean. The owners, David and Bonnie, are warm and welcoming.
The food served at breakfast was outstanding every day — far beyond what you'd expect at other bed and breakfasts. Bonnie also thoughtfully offered both decaf and regular coffee, and remembered my wife's food allergy. They also offered us beach tags to use, and the beach is an easy 5-minute walk. The facility has an outdoor shower as well, which we were delighted to use after our time at the beach after checking out.
One highlight was getting to meet and interact with Amber, the owners' miniature schnauzer. We look forward to returning to Bayberry Inn for as long as it is run by its current owners. It's truly a gem, and a great...
