Jessica's Fudge House — Restaurant in Ocean City

Stopped in for fudge while on vacation in August 2021. Typically we visit Ocean City, NJ, but decided to give Ocean City, MD a try. One of our traditions is to get boardwalk fudge. We saw the good reviews and thought we'd give Jessica's a try. They have a great selection of flavors and the staff was friendly and allowed us to sample a few flavors before making a final selection. The standout flavor for us was the dark chocolate sea salt. The others were good, but weren't great. The reason I knocked off one star is that I did not find the texture of the fudge to be very creamy. Rather, it was a little grainy. It left me feeling like there was too much sugar that didn't get fully dissolved and incorporated or maybe the sugar had crystalized. Either way, the fudge tasted good, but it didn't have the smooth and creamy texture that I have come to expect...

Clean, organized and very friendly staff. Very inexpensive candy, but that's because it's a little amateur (compared to places like Dolle's and Wockenfuss).

I sampled oreo truffles and chocolate dipped cherries. Good, but not amazing. The cherries were chocolate covered maraschino cherries and the oreo truffles were something I could make myself. They also had things like chocolate dipped bananas and chocolate dipped rice Krispy treats on a stick.

I will say they had an excellent selection of fudge and I will be back to try the fudge, just not "wowed" with the candy.

Update: the fudge is delicious and very well priced....

We have been enjoying and patronizing this establishment as long as I can remember. Think of something dipped in chocolate and I bet they have it! The fudge is amazing. I also believe they have Sugar-free as well. It’s a nice shop lots of cute stuff to purchase (for the kids). I love that they candy-(besides chocolate) as well. HERE’S THE BEST PART.........THEY HAVE FRESH SMITH ISLAND CAK !!! The state dessert that normally if you find it-it is stale, not here, COMPLETELY FRESH!!!!...
