I arrived at 5:45 p.m. it took me about 15 minutes to get seated. Considering how busy they were on the Wednesday night. It wasn't bad. Did a good job taking names and placing people in order. The guy at the front counter is efficient but very impersonal and somewhat rude. Since I was by myself, I received it in the bar area by one of his coworkers. By the way I can only see about three of them the whole time I was here. So they're very short-handed. Are you going to get that I have that problem with myself. Once I was seated, You took 20 more minutes for me to get service. I turned around I was looking at everybody 5 to 10 minutes. And finally the guy at the counter turned to me and said, if you see that yourself though you're not going to get any help. I told him that someone else had seated me here, and I have been waiting for 20 minutes. And then probably grabbed an order pad, you probably took my order for drinks, and dinner. My Long Island came right away. The strongest one I think I've ever had. Awesome. However it took another 15 minutes for me to get my food, not too unreasonable. However, my food was lukewarm at best. And the Rib Eye Remington I ordered was good tasting. However it medium rare. Which it kind of was. If it's hard to get a medium rare in a quarter inch thick steak with over 30% fat on it. See my photo. He was literally as thick as a breakfast ham steak. Way overpriced for a lot for a steak. Furthermore, the side door is open the whole time I was hit there. It is only 64° outside at this time. So having a door open is in reasonable, as it is an invitation to rodents. Having a national food safety certification is part of my career, I can tell you this is a good safety issue. I have softened this up a little bit because of that strong Long Island. I see they are trying. But there is absolute lack of leadership in this business. Especially a food establishment, where customer service, food quality, in food safety are paramount. And this place landed in the top 10 establishments in Ocean Shores. I was never checked on so I got my food. At this point I'm trying to get my check. I guess I could just walk out that side door and no one would know. But I'm not that person. So I guess I have to fight somebody down for my $50 bill that...
Read moreMy family and I went out to eat here last night. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! How there are any good reviews on here about this place is beyond me. The food is subpar at best but priced like you’re at a fine dining restaurant. If you’re going to charge $45 for a steak then it better be a premium cut and you should know how to cook it, not a steak from roses IGA down the street. My brother ordered his medium and my wife ordered hers medium rare. We got a rare steak that was given to my brother and a well done hockey puck that was give to my wife. My Dad ordered the captains plate. Go to any other restaurant in ocean shores and they will make a cheaper better version. I had the Willapa Bay Oysters with red potatoes and zucchini. The best part was the zucchini. My mom’s side salad was from a bag of ice berg lettuce, cucumbers cut as thin as paper, with 4 tomato”chunks” about the size of a dime, last but not least ranch dressing that was so watered down it looked like a puddle of water. As far as the atmosphere goes there was employees fighting with each in front of customers, they have open junction boxes in the ceiling of the dining area, this is an extreme fire hazard to your clients. Our waitress was rude from the get go. My brother and I order a cup of clam chowder. The waitress brought out one and proceeded to walk away. I asked her about mine and her response was “oh you want one now to?”. No I just want what I ordered. When my wife’s and brothers steaks were brought out they asked my brother if he’d like A1. Didn’t even acknowledge my wife. She spoke up as the waitress was walking away saying she’d like some. Waitress response shakes her head and says “ok fine”. This place clearly lacks leadership or any accountability and is an embarrassment to the restaurant community. You can go to Emily’s at the casino or anywhere really and get a better atmosphere, food, view,...
Read moreFirst coming into the restaurant, the service was very nice. The server was very attentive, and did a very good job. She did tell us she was new to the restaurant but did not seem new to the industry because of how well she treated her tables. The problem occurred when we actually received our entrees. 2 of us at our table ordered the crab legs, which in itself was a $40 entree thinking it would be a decent meal. The steak was very good and well cooked, but the crab was cold. The crab was actually colder than the table, which would make it obviously colder than the ambient temperature. We didn’t expect much from it, but when we mentioned it to the waitress we were told the cooks wanted the plate back. We agreed and let them take the food expecting them to possible remake it because they hadn’t really given us a reason or say to what they were going to do to help ensure we had a good experience. They ended up taking $9 off of the ONE $40 meal that I wasn’t even able to finish because they took it from me. After talking to the manager, his best explanation was to just say they couldn’t do anything more than what they had already done. Never once offering to remake it, or simply heat it up which I would have been perfectly okay with and finishing it like that. I’ve been a server for over 8 years, if a customer has a problem with the food you have at least two options. 1) offer to take the meal off the bill, or 2) offer to remake it to their liking (as it should have been made normally. I AM not happy. And because of the service we received we will not be coming back. I can’t express the fact that the crab was literally cold. After expressing our feelings YOUR manager did not handle the problem as it should have been at all. Fix the problem so future guests don’t experience the similar...
