Sat for almost 10 minutes, waiting for them to take my drink order. Ordered my food at the same time as I ordered my coffee. When the coffee came, I realized I had no silverware. I asked someone going by, but they didn't hear me. My waitress was at the waitress station, working on the computer. I walked up and asked her if I can get some silverware. She seem to take offense to this and have a little bit of an attitude. She said yes I'll get you some. Meanwhile, the stacks of silverware are sitting between her and I, and I can easily reach out and pick them up. She waited till she got done on the computer, and picked up a handful and then asked me how many I need it. I took one and went back to my coffee. She seemed to have no problem giving great service to all of the large parties around me, but ignored me, a single diner, each time she went by. After having her go by twice with my coffee empty, I stopped her and asked her if I could get a refill. She said sure. Then she disappeared back into the kitchen. She came out with another table's food order and gave that to them, and then went back to the kitchen again, and then after not coming out for about 4 or 5 minutes, I decided to pay for the cup of coffee and leave while they were still making my food.
The most disgusting, disrespectful, dismissive service I've had in a long time. So bad that I didn't even want to have...
Read moreI was greeted by Brenda R right away and she guided to my table. I been coming to this location for a long time and it amazes me how it’s been over 12 months and they can’t manage to fix the broken window. I seen over 2-3 different menus since they put plywood on the broken window. Other than the broken window the atmosphere was good. Waitress was great. Everything was going great. Got my coffee and creamer just like I had asked for it. I was offered pancake puppies for appetizer but I declined. I order the new Black Label Bacon. I was amazed how efficient the waitress was. For a Wednesday morning it was kind of slow. Maybe 12 tables in all restaurant. It took 30 minutes to get my food. I don’t know if the kitchen was under staffed or what. I could clearly hear the cooks music in the background and their soccer conversations. No management around it looked like since I didn’t see one. I felt bad for the waitress she tried to keep my coffee warm creamers coming my way when they were low. She brought me water. Poor thing. It’s not the first time I had a bad experience with my food here. It seems like it’s every Wednesday and Thursdays. At least this time my food was serve warm and not cold like last time. It’s unfortunate how this place it’s been run. Maybe a change in the kitchen needs to happen for I’m sure I’m not the only one that gets...
Read moreIm a regular here most mornings. i know the staff well and consequently, they know me. I'm an ultra endurance athlete and i train to extremes for fitness endeavors on the world stage. That said, the morning meal is by far my most important meal of my day. Its where i get the most opportunity to upload my initial intake of calories to sustain my 5-7 hour a day training regimen. I know the menu and the staff knows my prefs w/re to my order which really doesnt change that much day-to-day. My fav combo is the Pancake slugger breafast AND the Value slam meal w/4 whole wheat pancakes, 4 strips of turkey bacon very well cooked, hashbrowns cooked light and a total of 4 eggs over medium. Coffee and OJ included. The food is served hot and i rarely have to ask for refills on my coffee. There is value here and one can indeed eat healthy. I know it to be so. Thanks to John, Sam, Kris, Barb, Mel and a host of others that i just cant name at the moment for being attentive to my orders and providing service and a meal that im certain is reflective of the quality one would expect from America's diner AND which keeps me coming back vice going elsewhere. And to managers Jason and Randi for leading a good crew, thank you! Please continue your efforts to be the best. That will separate you from the pack and ill look fwd to coming back! ...
