There's no such thing as fast food when it comes to any Popeyes that I've ever been to in Southern California; especially this location. This place has lines as long as In-N-Out, and this place is about 3x slower than In-N-Out. Expect to wait 30 to 50 minutes for your order, even without tons of cars in line. Ive gone multiple times because I do love the food and price; however the wait is extremely frustrating and many times I still find myself thinking that it wasnt worth the wait. Don't think that Im being just unreasonable because this location is new...they pulled staff from other Popeyes who were already trained up and it's still unacceptably slow. I dont understand why Popeyes cant keep up with making a lot of food in advance and keeping it warm and fresh (somehow?) in order to keep cars moving through the drive-thru at a much faster pace. KFC can pull off faster cooking so why can't Popeyes? I get that KFC isnt as high quality as Popeyes, but still...there has to be a way for these guys to get orders out faster. If I owned this business I'd be looking into ways to drastically improve production, because it should be clear to any business owner that frustrated customers leads to a decline in repeat sales, and long-lines scare people away, and this means LESS SALES. Popeyes slogan of "Louisiana-Fast" has me thinking the phrase is more of an ironic joke than anything truthful. Louisiana-Fast must mean "half-speed" for the rest of us... Do I expect McDonalds speed? No. But do I expect to wait in line for 50 minutes when there's only 6 cars ahead if me? NO. If great tasting and affordable food is worth it to you and you have no place to be while having no idea how long you'll be stuck in line without being able to quickly leave if youre running low on gas or need to use the restroom...then try it out! It honestly is great food. They really need to fix their production time though; and that's an issue for every local Popeyes around this area. I've been to Popeyes in other states and they're super fast...so maybe its a regional training issue that badly...
Read moreI am a southerner transplanted to SoCal. Once in a while, I miss fried chicken and biscuits. This was closeby, and while I'd never visited a Popeyes, I thought I'd give it a try. We looked at the family meals which only come with one side...so no. We ordered the #1: chicken sandwich combo with mac and cheese and the #5 combo of fried shrimp and chicken tenders, with fries. It also came with a biscuit. It is obvious they fry everything in the same greese: tenders, fries, the sandwich, and the shrimp all taste the same. Tenders were small and mostly coating, same for the popcorn shrimp, the mac and cheese was the worst orange cheese mess I've ever had in my mouth, the biscuit was flat and had a weird sweetness to it. The French fries were cold and inedible. In fact, the entire meal was barely lukewarm. The tenders were supposed to be spicy...they tasted the same as the regular chicken sandwich. The only saving grace is they have real plastic straws so that you can use your drink to wash the taste out of your mouth...and we did enjoy the pickles on the sandwich. So that was a plus. This restaurant is an affront to every Southerner in the US. I feel bad for anyone who has never visited the South and thinks that this food is representative of food we enjoy in the South. It's absolutely shameful. For a few dollars more, decent sides, edible biscuits...please visit a similar restaurant with Kentucky in the name. That restaurant is a much better approximation of...
Read moreI live down the street from this Popeyes, and on late weekend days I like to grab a bite. It does not happen often how ever the times I’ve been there I’ve had a horrible experience. There is a girl she’s short in height with piercing if not mistaken who has an attitude problem. She’s rude, and seems to always be in a rush even if there is not many car or no cars behind. There’s been times where they just dump the fries in the bag without properly placing them in a fries bag. They add pickles when ask for no pickles. Last night I was there and waited over 30 min for my food. She took my order took the payment told me to go to the front rushing me to move from the drive true window. I saw car after car just drive true and all left with their food. As I was coming inside to see what was the delay she stand on the door and tels me we are close here. I said yes but my food, she said I’ll bring it to you. 10 more minutes pass and one of the guys come out and ask what my order was so I repeat my order and he apologized and said they forgot to make my order. He was nice enough to add an extra sandwich and a desert. But what upset me was her why did she rush me and then never fallow up with the cook on the status of my food. Or did she even remember to pass it true. I don’t get it! I Understandable if they would have been supper busy. Well She needs to fix her customers service skills or find another career. Sucks that my experience was...
