We are here visiting and was interested in a non-chain Mexican restaurant we are from Texas and we know good Mexican food, read the reviews and thought we would try it...... If you are not used to eating it daily then I would say it's okay.... The food was not good. They used white cheese for everything!!!! On kids meal burger, enchilada, quesadilla, queso.... In my taco. I asked for pickles on the burger.... Didn't have any. Taco was greasy and was in an original taco shell.... Not in a corn tortilla...so ya that's no Mexican at all.... Chimichanga was also soaked In white cheese... Not good at all woulda been okay minus the cheap white cheese. We ate and are military and asked if they had a military discount... Our waitress said she would ask and we saw the owner or manager having a meeting... When she went up and asked him, he made a nasty rude face like are you kidding me... Looked over to us and told her no... Which is perfectly fine we ate at a very good pizza place here in Orlando too and it was amazing food and they had military discount. It's the fact that he looked over at us And made a face... Waitress asked if the food was good and I'm like it's okay.... Enchilada sauce was bad and the chile/salsa was bad... Had oregano in it.... Not good Mexican chile.... One star cuz the waitress was nice. Would never eat here again and we drove 30 min to eat there..... Coulda went to grab a burger else where and...
Read moreI used to eat at Amigos in Altamonte until they closed due to Covid. Since then I have been visiting other mexican restaurants. None have even come in the ballpark of Amigos and San Jose's, for me and my friend, was terrible. They brought out salsa and chips. The chips tasted stale to me and my friend agreed. The salsa was very hot, so I asked the waitress if she could bring a mild salsa and she said ok. When she brought out the salsa, I took a big scoop of it and it was much hotter than the first which took several minutes for my mouth to cool down. I questioned the waitress and she then told me it was the hotter salsa and that they did not have mild. My friend and I ordered the same which was 2 Enchiladas, taco and beans (ground beef). I also ordered a side of sour cream. The food came out in about 10 minutes and I had to speak to 3 people before getting my sour cream which by the way was a very low fat version and was tasteless. Actually my friend and I found the whole meal tasteless. Apparently many people like tasteless food. The service was very sub-par too. So, I'm chalking up another failure and still searching for that mexican restaurant that at least comes in the ballpark...
Read moreHave you ever had a mojito soooo good that made you question everything? Seriously. You need to go here!! Janet behind the bar made me come to the conclusion that I’ve never had a perfectly well balanced Mojito before. From the first step to the last, the amount of zesty lime and mint were flawless!! This was my third amazing experience here with Janet so it’s definitely time for a review. The last time I went in, she made me something special that I haven’t had before - a firecracker margarita! I’m here for a festive drink, y’all!! Creativity on point! Janet’s personality is welcoming, friendly, and she is super attentive, she knew I needed things before I even realized it! She made a fun vibe at the bar, wasn’t just there to collect a paycheck, but was talking with all her guests, telling stories, and crafting freaking amazing cocktails while doing so. It’s just such a lovely experience to have bartender want to connect with customers. Really makes everyone sitting there feel seen - and happy! Her cocktails and service were delicious and totally deserve all...
