I've been ordering catering from this specific Jimmy John's every week, sometimes 2-3 times per week for corporate events at my work that require catering. Our organization, Rogers Behavioral Health, is only 5 minutes up the road. Today, the catering I ordered to be delivered at 12pm did not arrive until 12:40pm. I called the store first at 12:11pm and the individual at the store apologized and said they were running late but the food was on it's way as we spoke. At 12:31pm when the food still had not arrived, I called the store again and the same person answered and apologized saying that the store was not able to get in touch with the delivery driver. They were very apologetic but unable to assure me whether the food would arrive or not, so they suggested I speak to the manager who can resolve the issue. When the manager got on the phone, they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They continuously insisted that there was nothing they could do if the delivery drivers don't follow the correct order of who to deliver to first. Because my catering order still had not arrived at this point and there seemed no guarantee that the food was coming, I asked the manager to issue a refund. They said they could not do that, that the best they could offer was "some free chips, a couple cookies," or "a free sandwich voucher." I told them that these offers do not help the situation I am in where the event has now missed the allotted lunch time without eating, and the food was still not here. The manager began to get a worse attitude with me, still insisting there was nothing they could do. I understood that they could not get back the 40 minutes that we had lost due to the food being late, but what I was trying to get them to see was that these offers they were making (food voucher, chips, cookies) do not rectify that 1. The food had not arrived STILL, 2. There was no guarantee that the food was going to even make it here (since they apparently couldn't get a hold of the deliver driver?) and 3. That my company had paid almost $100 for food and was owed a refund if the food was not coming. The manager said they are not able to issue refunds on catering orders. The food eventually arrived around 12:40, and the delivery driver stated that the "girl packing forgot the pickles so I had to go all the way back to get the pickles." 40 minutes late and all the staff that were supposed to have this lunch at 12pm had already left to get their own food from somewhere else.
I was incredibly shocked by the treatment I received from the manager, who told me their name was "Dan." Hardly apologetic, they made no concerted effort whatsoever to make this situation right, and cost my staff time and money. I have one more catering order coming from this Jimmy John's on Wednesday, and after that I won't be using this chain anymore unless something is done to rectify...
Read moreUnsanitary situation. I ordered a #2 on Sunday 9/15/2024 in shop around 12:45 pm. While waiting for my sandwich I was near the end of the line after getting my drink. While the team who was making sandwiches were chatting with each other the worker at the middle of the line opened their mouth and a piece of chewing gum fell out. They attempted to catch the gum and it made contact with their gloved hand. The gum ended up on the ground. I watched closely and this individual did not change gloves, and continued making orders.
I did appreciate the fact that they issued me a full cash refund with no hesitation. I offered to pay for the drink but they refunded the full order amount. I pointed out what I had observed and the individual who had the gum dropping incident did change gloves.
The individual running the register didn't know how to make the refund, so they were assisted by the person at the front of the line. This person had their right hand on bread ready to make sandwiches and was tapping the register screen with their left gloved hand. They returned with both hands to the next loaf of bread, after contacting the cash register. They did then change gloves, but only after touching the bread.
I worked at a Jimmy Johns in my late teens and early twenties and we upheld an impeccable standard of cleanliness and food safety. I'm a huge JJ's fan, and have never seen this type of offense in any other location I've visited.
If you own this franchise you'll see a refunded transaction for $11 dollars and change in cash at around the time and date I noted in the beginning of this review. The exact order was for a #2 add cheese, extra mayo, ez mustard, and a large fountain drink. You should review food safety standards...
Read moreOn Friday I ordered a lunch while leaving the hospital and going to my office to finish working thinking it would save me time on going to get some lunch. An hour and a half later I called the store to see where my delivery was and he said, oh they are driving around, should be there soon. 2 hours I waited for my meal. None of the instructions on my order were followed, sandwich wasn't made correctly, or cut, and they gave me diet coke instead of regular. The instructions also listed the suite to deliver to and where to leave it. I can see out the window, the driver walked in and threw the bag on a table near the entrance of our building. We have hundreds of people coming and going from our building in a day, so I leave those instructions for a reason. Our door is literally the first door when you walk in, so not difficult to find. I'm so disappointed in how this store operates and the time it takes to deliver. I wouldn't be as upset if the order was at least made and delivered correctly. This place is ran by incompetent people who really dont care...
