ALDI — Local services in Oconomowoc

I've been shopping here for almost 10 years and it has only gotten better with time. For anyone who says that generic (Aldi Brand) foods are not as good as National Name Brands, are kidding themselves. I have experienced far better quality food from the Aldi Brand as opposed to some Nationally recognizable Brands from other stores.

Keep in mind that most of the Aldi Brands are probably made by some of the same companies offered by more recognizable Brands and just packaged exclusively for them.

I also shop at other local food stores who have recently started offering self-check-out. Think about it... you check-out yourself and bag it yourself, but you still pay the same high prices as before. How does that help you? It definitely helps the store since they save by not needing extra staff, but somehow that doesn't trickle-down to the customers.

At Aldi, you are rewarded for the minor inconveniences of bagging your own groceries and walking your cart back to retrieve your quarter.

The location I shop at is currently undergoing a giant renovation. It will be completed at the end of August and I for one can't wait to see the new store! A store doesn't upgrade itself this substantially if it isn't succeeding in the community.

Aldi has stepped up their game in recent years. They have always had good prices but their stores used to look so spartan so as to make the experience there less than pleasant. It was like shopping in warehouse. That has changed as they have shored up the feel of their stores. The brand selection is still not as wide as one might prefer but, even so, Aldi is a worthwhile stop for a reasonably-priced stock-up trip. One can still probably get the vast majority of the groceries they need and, for some, they can get everything they need or want. This particular Aldi is located in a very nice location. The shop appears as though it was relatively new, as the exterior was actually rather nice. We found the employees to be pleasant and the prices were as attractive as per usual. As far as grocery stores go, Aldi rocks! There’s no unnecessary frills like many other chain grocery stores, which translates to much lower prices. I’ve never tried an Aldi brand product that disappointed me. Sure, there’s a few things here and there you might not be able to find at Aldi. That’s why I shop Aldi first and then pick up any miscellaneous items at Pick n Save. It’s amazing how much more $100 will get you at Aldi than at other stores. Having a teenage son who eats like a horse, the more money I can save on groceries the better! Bring a quarter for your shopping cart, your own bags, and you’ll be all set.
