As a long time visitor to Ocracoke I appreciate a great carry out meal. We’ll take the pizza out on the beach with a bottle of wine and watch a perfect sunset. Sorrellas Chicken parmigiana knocks it out of the park, love the lasagna, salads and Pizza! It’s perfect coming off the beach for a delicious easy dinner when no one wants to cook or go out. The lovely people working the pick up window and kitchen always have a smile on their face and can often be heard sing while preparing your food. This makes my heart open wide and the food taste better. Given the nature of island life you don’t always know if a small business will be open so I always have a back up plan or check in with not only this but other island restaurants. Sometimes the phone is busy but I keep trying and get through. I’ve also just ridden my bike and ordered at the window! There’s a nice little deck to hang out on or you could go next door to Ocracoke Oyster and listen to music or get a drink while waiting for your carry out. Friendly service, great value and perfect Italian fare. My Italian friends from Chicago approved and loved our meal when they visited Ocracoke for the first time this summer. That’s when I knew it was truly...

In response to your response...You advertise publicly and on your website that you are open on Saturday. Your phone answering message says you are open on that Saturday. Facebook is no excuse since there are still a few million that wouldn't touch facebook for plenty of good reasons. I have in fact eaten there dozens of times over the years, also for good cause. It's terrific. Nevertheless, if you are going to be closed on a day you are always open, put it on your website and phone answering device. It's the least a restaurant of your reputation and caliber should do for it's loyal patrons. I was trying to reach you as a curtesy given the size of the order and I didn't want to make it tougher on you for a summer Saturday night. For the record, I'll come back because it's a...
Read moreDon't know about the food, and probably never will. Since their hours are advertised as being open until 10:00, our family saw nothing wrong with pulling in just before 9:30 and taking out time looking at the menu and deciding what we wanted. And by pulling in, I mean right in front of the takeout window in a convertible. The woman at the window made no effort to let us know they were about to close, but let me walk up to the window at 9:32, and told me with an attitude that should be reserved for someone who approached her an hour after close when she was getting into her car that they had closed at 9:30. I've worked pizza, and I know last minute customers are annoying, but especially when you're on an island where every chance for someone to get food disappears at about that same time, you need to be a little more careful about advertising hours you're not going to honor, and be a bit more compassionate about those last...
