Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Odessa

A completely dirty facility. I have been here multiple times ignoring the fact that every time I come here the seats and walls are filthy with left over residue of food, and stains of old coke, splashed on the walls. I enjoy the food so I try to ignore the other things. Last time I came I had old food on my silverware and on my friends plate but it was ignored and I asked for a replacement of my cutlery. The seats leave an unpleasant odor on your clothes when you finally get up, I don't know if it was that one seat I had to sit in or what happened but I am hesitant every time I come because I already know what I'm getting into hoping it's not as filthy as last time; It gets filthier every time. I can't say the mess was recent when almost every booth I have sat in is disgusting. Once again the food is good but I can't imagine what kind of kitchen they are running when the facilities are this dirty. The only reason I make this post is because my last visit was terrible. I found what appeared to be mold in my ice and this was enough. Sure enough like always dirty seats full of food and residue of old liquids splashed on the walls convinced me to write this post in hopes that someone can clean the place up. The table was not clean when we sat down and the other customers check was not picked up from the table yet. I asked for the manager to notify of what I found in my food and she apologized and sent the kitchen manager he came and said he apologizes and that they burn their ice every week and deep clean it out. I highly doubt it keeping in mind they can't even keep the tables and chairs, along with the cutlery, clean. After he said that I pointed to the walls and chairs and said look at this he became annoyed and told me have a good one. I am sincerely disgusted by the way this place has no regard for cleanliness or how much one bacteria can have a big effect on someone's health. I'm grateful I was able to see the mold looking stain in my cup or I don't know where I would be right now. Pictures are worth more than words sometimes. Like I said the food is good but I don't even know if the health inspector has been by here anytime recent. If he hasn't I would definitely recommend checking in to this place. I am not going to continue on the restrooms but definitely needs a good cleaning.

We ended up going else where to eat. I would recommend the same till they started cleaning up. Unless you don't mind getting sick or enjoy some decent food in...

I am so beyond frustrated with this place!! I have only had one great experience here and that was 8+ years ago.. But today was the last straw .. service was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE... So upon arrival we were seated right away table 33 to be exact.. at 1st our waitress was amazing but man that changed in 2.2 seconds (seems like) She took our drink order and our appetizer order even brought us the honey butter croissants right away.. we got our drinks and then she took our lunch order ... after that she was so invested with the table next to us because we never saw her at our table again until..... we got our appetizer spinach dip (that was horrible) and the salsa was rancid.. tried to get her attention but whatever the table next to us was JUST WAY MORE IMPORTANT!!! We needed refills and to change a drink order because the water was NOT RO WATER.. It was city water and if you are from here,Odessa water is just nasty and not safe to drink i dont even let my dogs drink it.. but still the table next to us was way more important... food finally arrived and the nice young lady changed the drink order and refilled the other 2 drinks that were at our table.. 3 min after our food arrived A MIRICALE Happened Our waitress showed up i asked for some steak sauce politely and she left again... I waited... and waited.... hit the call server button... waited...... waited .... and waited some more.... After about 15-20 min of waiting for A1 I WAS PISSED... I got up and asked another waitstaff for a manager...manager showed up and (trying my best to keep from yelling at the wrong person) I demanded that my dish be taken off the ticket as my steak and chicken are now cold... I handed the manager my plate... and when being charged for a loaded potato make sure you add everything that goes on a loaded potato ... my dish was removed but honestly I should have just walked out not even paying the remaining balance... But i did only because the other 2 ppl that were with me... ( trying to teach them how to be decent humans,hence the reason I didn't make a big scene and pull out Karen from within.. corporate needs to get involved and invest some time and correct the waitstaff and some of the food that's being served to...

Ordered 2 sweet teas & appetizer - chips & queso. Got our drinks & waitress said the queso would b out shortly. Bout 15 min later, she took our order & asked if that was everything. I reminded her bout the chips & queso. She said it would b out shortly. She checked on us 3 more times, & each time said the chips & queso would b out shortly. (She said this a total of 5 times!) Finally got the chips & queso less than a minute b4 the rest of our food. Chips were stale & very hard. Waitress dropped food off & walked off quickly without saying anything. My bbq chicken was served without bbq. (The bbq is usually baked on the chicken, so I can taste the bbq, but it simply looks like a glaze.) We sat there for over 10 min b4 she came back by. I told her the chips r stale & hard & I ordered BBQ chicken. She said she'd bring bbq & more chips. Also asked for sweet tea refill & received unsweet! She brought more chips that were ok. But the bbq in the small sauce cup was cold. By now, my chicken was also cold. When she came back by, I told her I wasn't happy w the bbq, since the chicken is usually baked w the bbq sauce on it. She said, "I brought u bbq sauce & more chips, so I don't see what the problem is!" I told her to "Get a manager!" The mgr said she'd take the chips & queso off the ticket, & took my chicken back & said it would b prepared properly. Another 20 minutes went by, & I was served - looked like the same plate of chicken w raw bbq sauce poured over it in a stream! Really!!!???!!! We eat at Cheddars regularly & it use to b good, but this is the 2nd time this type of thing has happened to us! It won't happen a 3rd time, bcuz we...
