I should headline this and start with the fact that I do not think their food is great, probably mid tier. Their service is great, super friendly people and even offered samples of the curry to see what we wanted. When ordering, they allow for different combinations of things which is very helpful. The combos include a salad, naan, and some sort of sauce to likely mellow the spice. They also seemed open to feedback as it's still relatively new. With that, I hope to be constructive here.
The food was subpar compared to other great Indian restaurants. For the price it is a little high for what is received. I sampled the chicken and the beef curry but ordered beef. -The chicken curry had some nice spice but overall was lacking in flavor, almost missing a bit of salt or some other spice. -The beef curry was a bit more flavorful and also had potato with it. Definitely was the better choice but could be improved. -Both curries were not as flavorful as I would have liked and were also rather oily for a curry. -The plain basmati rice was good though once mixed with the curry it became a bit oily and started to have a weird texture -The naan. Oh the naan. It is probably the lowest part of it all. The naan is certainly microwaved and potentially arrives premade. As a result the naan gets a bit of a chewy texture and feels moist with how they wrap it. The amount of seasoning on it is quite a lot and makes it pretty spicy. -I did not touch the salad as it's not my preference but from what I saw and my coworker tasted, it's not great and should honestly be done away with or made optional. -The lassi was mid, you don't get much of it for the price and it's not a strong flavor either likely due to how thin it is. -This last complaint may be only for to go orders. You do not get enough curry to go. Looking at how much is on a plate if you dine in, to go is maybe half that amount. I think they should add more curry instead of doing a salad for to go orders. There just is not enough space in the containers.
Overall, I would go again only to try the biryani or another dish next but as for curry, it is not my recommendation unless you dine in. Then it is...
Read moreI love Taj Mahal food!!. And I truly feel bad leaving this here, but there's a problem right next to the store that trickles over at times. Beware the Pretzel Maker nearby and do not let your children work there. The "crazy old lady" manager I've heard Soo much about for over a decade is apparently STILL being allowed to manage kids over there. Most recently, an employee showed up to work and the manager called security on her lying and saying she's "acting belligerent and doesn't work there anymore" when said UNDERAGE employed was never told at any point she is fired, no longer employed, not expected to show up. To clarify, the manager scheduled an employee to work (that apparently she wanted to fire but didn't have the courage), then calls security on them without saying a word to the employee about what is even going on, telling security they're acting belligerent and they need to be escorted. This is a 70 year old woman .......acting like this to a 17 year old kid lol. So yeah, I want EVERYONE to know and every business in the immediate area deserves some sort of warning when people reading the reviews are considering taking their family there....

My partner got the beef kebab and loved it too. There are plenty of options, including lassi, chai, and desserts. The manager and cook were so friendly and passionate about their food, and I want to see them succeed. This is restaurant-quality Indian food in a food court. Go try it, y’all!
Update (August 2025): A year later, the food is still excellent and the owner just as passionate and attentive. He mentioned they have been open for over a year now and even have customers who come from Salt Lake to eat here.
This time I ordered the chicken curry combo with butter chicken, raisin rice, naan, and salad, plus a mango lassi and gulaab jamun. Everything was flavorful and balanced. The rice with raisins and chickpeas paired perfectly with the curry, the naan was fluffy and delicious, and the lassi tasted fresh without being too sweet. My partner enjoyed the gulab jamun, which had just the right amount of sweetness and cardamom.
Still five stars, and I will gladly keep...
