Me, my husband and son ate here on March 15, 2024. The first issue I had, the waitress asked me if I wanted a flight when I was ordering a drink. I specified which one I wanted and she said OK. She bring back three drinks. I I asked why three drinks and she says that’s what a flight was. If it’s one person ordering drinks, are you gonna give them three, at once? Think about that? Then when the food comes out, I get the ultimate feast. I ask if she can put Cajun seasoning on the crab she literally tells me no they’re just gonna be come steam the way they are. The steak was supposed to be well done. They literally give it to me raw. The steak was sent back, which was fine because I started on the crab legs. However, these crab legs literally had no meat in them. After going through half of them and getting the meat out of them, I asked the girl to get rid of those crab legs and switch them out with just a thing of shrimp instead. She agreed And bring back a thing of shrimp, instead. I haven’t eaten one bite of food and my son needs to use the restroom so we go. When I get back from the restroom, the waitress proceeds to inform me that she was going to take the second helping of shrimp off the bill. I said what are you talking about? I don’t have a second helping of anything. I said those shrimp were supposed to be a switch out for the crab legs, which literally had nothing in them. She was acting like she was doing me a favor by not charging me for the second helping of scampi, which again was only a replacement for the bad crab legs. By the Time for steak comes out all the rest of the food is now cold. I asked the girl three times in a row to bring me a box. I have to get up and get one myself. Along with a bag. She was very unprofessional and not explaining the drinks then the steak is bad. Then., The crab legs are bad. Then she acts like she’s doing me a favor by not charging me for shrimp. It’s literally a $45 plate of food. Not to mention, one of their side cost me an additional three dollars because it was asparagus. The asparagus look like string beans. She said several times in a row that she was gonna get a manager every time there was an issue and I literally kept giving her chances saying no it wasn’t necessary because I wasn’t there trying to get free food that wasn’t the point. I wouldn’t go out to eat if I couldn’t afford to, to begin with. But it was too many issues at once. She also put the serving tray down on one of the wooden holders and left it there our entire meal. I asked her two times to move it until we had to get out of the booth in order to use the restroom And that’s when she actually moved it. She brings back the manager, and I explained to him the issues that I’m having and all he literally does is say OK well, we’re gonna take it off the bill. OK, that’s not the point. It disgust me that these individuals are gonna go home and make a social media post about how Karen came in tonight rather than actually take to heart the issues that they were having and actually change and be a better server and learn from your mistakes. That is probably what chaps me the absolute most. And, these waitresses expect 20%… For what? She didn’t refill our drinks, not one time. Didn’t offer to go boxes or drinks, at all. We had four biscuits that came out with the initial meal and that was it. She never came to refill or give us any. We have to ask for extra napkins. Extra plates. Asking her to move the tray out of the way because she wants to leave it there in order to talk to two dudes, literally about social media rather than actually focus on her job. Of course, we tipped her because my husband was the one paying. If it were me, she would not have gotten a dime. My son got the coconut shrimp. He literally didn’t eat not one of them. The grease said it was cooked. It was so old and nasty that the coconut shrimp came out almost as dark as the individuals who work there. Ridiculous establishment. Read moreI recently had a very unfortunate visit to Red Lobster in Boardman, Ohio. We had a party of ten present for my birthday and after finishing our meal asked for our checks. Our server kept leaving to get boxes/bags and we kept reminding her that we had to leave and wanted our checks. She finally never came back after looking for "bags", we waited over ten minutes before my husband walked thru the restaurant to get the manager and informed her that we would like to pay for our meals and leave. Once our checks finally arrived, two of the parties in our group had incorrect charges that needed to be addressed. At this point our server came back and the manager left. We continued to wait while the server STILL did not ring out our checks. We reminded the server we still have not paid yet and the manager came back to ring us out. My husband asked to have an adjustment made due to the fact that we had to wait over 25 min to receive our checks, get everything adjusted, and then actually get checked out. At this point another server came over and said - are we celebrating anyone's birthday tonight, do we want desserts? To which I responded - not anymore, I would really like it if we can just get checked out and go. We would have never expected to be waiting on incompetent staff to simply let us pay for our meals so we could leave. Also let it be known that we were the ONLY party in this section and the restaurant was not busy. The server was not in training nor was it a shift change. After all of the inconvenience the manager did not even give us a discount and asked if there was any way she could improve our night without actually making any effort to improve our night. I really think that this situation could have been handled in a different way. We had expected once the manager got involved that our transactions would have been taken care of. We will not be returning to red lobster again or giving our service to this chain - even though before this night it has been my favorite restaurant. Very very bad service and ruined what was supposed to be a fun family evening. Also not one employee apologized for the delay even after we expressed multiple times we would like to leave and get checked out. Read moreHORRIBLE!!! TODAY OF ALL DAYS! MOTHER'S DAY! I place an online order at the Boardman, OH. location, 4 almost $90. to celebrate with my parents, which I'm bless to still have, (married over 57 yrs)! Dad picked up order, I looked at it n it looked HORRIBLE! (PLEASE SEE PICS)! There is barely sauce on both of the shrimp linguini alfredos! My pasta dinner is missing! Both salads look over a day old with withered lettus on them! The appetizer -stuff mushrooms, placed in a styrofoam cup, looked so bad, I could not tell if it came off someone else's plate! We were discussed! I called the Boardman Red Lobster 2 times. Manager Lydia was great! She is the only thing that place has going 4 it! She is why I gave them 1 star! She listened, seemed concerned n empathetic. She offered a reasonable solution that I accepted, but after I saw the condition of the rest of the food, I called back n a so called manager, Mike, got on the line even though I requested Lydia. I tried to explain, but he was rude, disrespectful, kept interrupting me n tried to make me the problem. I hung up, got that mess back together, took it back to them, requested Lydia n again she did EVERYTHING RIGHT! She handled my situation right away and provide a fair solution! She needs to be in the corporate office! Mike needs to get out of the kitchen n take some business courses, preferably taught by Lydia!!! I will not be back EVER again, this ruined our Mother's Day dinner n evening. I do not n will not EVER recommend this location to anyone! The only recommendation I have, I already gave. Run, Ms. Lydia! Run! You seem to have the right concept on how to manage n maintained a business. This location does not appreciate that n that's evident in the lack of pride n quality in the food they they put together for my parents n I. You deserve what you give, Ma'am.
