Star Diner IV — Restaurant in Ohio

It is really sad to say it as this was my first ever visit to their establishment, however if I could give my visit zero stars I would. The host did more for us than the server as the servers just stood around in the open on their phones while the hosts did everything, the server was lowkey rude and super emotionless. I DO NOT recommend the steak and eggs whatsoever. This was without a doubt the worst steak I ever had in my life. Everything on the plate was bland, no seasoning whatsoever. The first steak had to be sent back because I order it medium and it came our dry and burnt, the second one was not as dry but just as flavorless and was just absolutely disgusting, almost as if I just got a big piece of fat. Regardless mine nor my guest ate the steak we order. My mother’s steak was bone dry, burnt, flavorless and smelled funny. No remorse, apologies or anything from the staff, no offer to make the food correctly nor comp the steaks that were left untouched. $40 for two meals (half completely untouched because the steak was so horrible, half hardly touched because the toast was burnt and the potatoes and eggs flavorless.) I went here to grab some breakfast, and I found myself within the first minute already hating the experience. The first waitress greeted me with an attitude that suggested that she just wanted me to get lost. She then proceeded to skip over me to help the group that came in behind me. Another waitress eventually helped me out and took my order, but still maintained an apathetic attitude similar to the first (seems to be the theme of the restaurant).

I was hoping the food would make up for the horrible waitresses, but sadly I was mistaken. The omelet I ordered was dry and tasteless, the home fries tasted like paper, and the waffles managed to live up to satisfaction.

Overall, I would recommend staying away from this place and hitting up better diners in the Toledo area (Schmucker's Restaurant is located close to here and is MUCH better in both food quality...

Being a global traveler this is my review of Star Diner on Central. It's a nice quaint establishment with a cozy feel. I ordered egg whites and fruit due to not wanting to feel full. I also had a bite of my gf sausage patty that she had. The food got the job done, it was stellar since I only had egg whites so I really couldn't judge on a larger scale. The staff was nice, especially during this pandemic era with low staffing, I feel they did a pretty good job attending to us. They waitress we had was nice, she kept bringing us water when our cups were low. The prices were also good. Between 3 people the bill was less than $30.
