My traveling companion and I shared an absolutely delicious meal recently at Tiger Lebanese Bakery and Deli.
We had been traveling from Columbus to Ann Arbor on 4-5-2019 and had decided, at approximately Findlay, to eat somewhere at a "unique" "local" restaurant rather than at any familiar "fast food" restaurant [which had appeared to be the only available choices on I-75 and I-475].
Knowing that we would run out of most "food choices" as soon as we had left Toledo, we decided to get off at Central Ave. in Toledo and eat at a Chinese restaurant that had been advertised on I-475 but we ended up turning the wrong way and never finding that Chinese restaurant.
Looking for somewhere else to eat, we entered a shopping center on the north side of Central Ave., briefly considered eating at a diner [until we had figured out that they had already closed], and then just happened to notice Tiger Lebanese Bakery and Deli while we had been looking at each business in that shopping center.
We decided to eat at Tiger Lebanese Bakery and Deli. We were greeted by two friendly women behind the counter; we started to make decisions regarding our food. I decided to order a "meal combo," a choice of four items [some of which I had never heard of before] for $7.95.
We then were told that they would be closing in eight minutes; however, they quickly made an exception to their usual closing time because of our being travelers with nowhere else to eat.
The food had been delicious [though two of the "hot" items definitely could have been slightly warmer]; they let us stay there for about fifteen minutes after their official closing time.
After our extremely pleasant meal, my traveling companion and I got back on the road and continued driving towards Ann Arbor.
I am certainly glad that we had turned the wrong way when getting off I-475 at Central...
Read moreThis review is based on the customer service side only. I spent $70 and requested a curbside pickup. When I arrived I called and the woman told me I would have to come in, I told her I have a 1 year old with me, which is why I chose curbside not to mention im 37 weeks pregnant. She said she was the only person working and couldn't bring it out. When I walked in, there was the lady I spoke with at the register and 2 other workers CLEAR AS DAY. Why have curbside as an option if your not going to utilize it? I would understand if she was truly by herself, but she was not. So now im carrying my 1 year old with a pregnant belly and 2 huge bags of food.I wouldn't have drove 30 minutes if I had known. Curbside Pickup believe it or not is used for people who actually need it sometimes not out of pure laziness. Thank you to the nice man who saw me struggling and helped me with...
Read moreKinda wish I'd never eaten here. I was out and about like 35 mins from home and needed a little bit to eat. I expected some mediocre food. Ordered 2 cheese pies, a veggie melt pie, and a feta bread (I'm vegetarian) This food was so freaking amazing, the staff was really nice, and the price (about $2 a pie, order was like $7.50 ish) was pretty good. So, I feel like I'm going to have to make the 35 min drive each way a few times a month now. Anyway, now I'm addicted, so damage done. When I told the lady that I was vegetarian, she gave me a sample of some grain dish from the hot food, I asked the name of it like 3 times and made sure I could say it before I left and of course 30 seconds later I forgot it, but it was wonderful too. If you are considering eating...
