The actual venue is great if you're just going to go and have a few beers. They actually have some of my favorite beers I can't find other places... this review is for the artists who pay to be a part of their shows they have there. Don't pay to be VIP. They'll double book to get more people there and you'll find that when you paid extra (a 100 bucks..)to be inside.. you'll be outside in the windy cold next to others who only paid 25 for their booth. 2nd they don't have enough power to run a few microwaves so if you need power to run any of your business.. (outside bc it was double booked inside) you'll be told you can only run one thing at a time. I do custom printing/heat press work. ha! My heat press and printer are both 110 volt just like a microwave! I basically paid 200 for 2 shows for a major workout loading/unloading and to freeze my tail end off.. bored for a few hours... Oh yeah.. they only have 1 outlet that works outside out of 2. So if you're lucky to get that outlet you'll be good.. too bad no one told anyone the actual show started at 10am... that's when they told us "VIPS" to get there and set up.... enough venting.. I did meet a few of the other vendors though that was cool. I left early... I don't wanna go back to be a vendor ever again. So it doesn't matter if I don't get asked back. I hope they can get their stuff together for future shows though and I wish...
Read moreOnly reason for the single star is the server. She commented on my medical condition and proceeded to place earplugs in which I didn't have an issue as I know I'm annoying but then in my face proceeded to tell another customer that she "hates people who sniffle". I was 2 feet away. Now, my condition is due to some military time I did. I don't care if people respond to my annoyance (I'm used to the sniffles I have and I know I would react the same way) but from a person that states they are a DSA card carrying member and dates 38 yo men and has been out of high school for 3 years (I was 2 feet away) blah blah blah ... poor service... beer is good but this one experience made me feel very unwelcome.
I frequent AS and Stoneclude as well as others weekly. This was my first visit to Anthem although I have tried and love the beer. I am a Los Angeles transplant and reeeaally appreciate good beer. I have not once felt as disrespected (even in LA with the same issue as I have as to have a server in my face say "I really hate people that sniffle" because she felt 2 feet away from me, like she needed to explain to another customer how annoying I was being.
I get it but I won't ever go here again because if my condition precludes me from a decent experience I'll pass.
The blueberry lager is exceptional however. Tried 9 beers there but the blueberry lager is a...
Read moreI'll be honest, I never knew this place existed until I was headed down to the Thunder Parade. I was looking for a place to park (which was a nightmare), and I saw a tent set up in the parking lot of Anthem Brewing Co. I rolled down my window and asked the guys in the tent if I could pay to park there. One of the guys said that it was fine if I parked in the grass and not to worry about paying. If I wanted to buy a water or a beer, that would be fine. I don't drink, and I had a water already, so I told them I'd figure something out to pay them back for thier kindness. They were all very nice and couldn't have been more welcoming and kind. I own a small business myself and 90% of our success is being kind and welcoming to all of our patients. It is the same with the folks at Anthem Brewing Co. I can't thank you guys enough for your small act of generosity that day. It made an already good morning that much better! Keep up the good work and positive vibes. It always comes back to you, one...
