We haven't been here in a year so I wanted to update my review. The burgers are "onion fried" and still tasty, but kinda messy. My burger was hastily assembled so I took a fork and centered the patty and put the tomatoes that fell out of the buns back on the burger. The onion rings are huge and crispy! The fries are plenteous and good but not exceptional. Fountain drinks are refillable. You order at the counter and the service is good and the kitchen fast. The payment screen has the annoying tip option which starts at 20% and I was searching for a reason to tip when there's no table service. I concluded that the kitchen was working hard to get orders out so I tipped anyway. I hope the tips are shared with the kitchen staff as an incentive to assemble sandwiches that don't require reassembly. The corner table we sat at was a " tip-a-roo" as the pedestal feet are not long enough to prevent tipping. My wife put her hands on the table for a little leverage to scoot and the table nearly landed in her lap spilling one drink. I do not remember the small bar next to the register. There's a large sign that says we ID everyone and "some take it as a compliment". I am 75 and take it as an imposition since there's no way I come close to appearing under the age of 21. Usually signs like these mean that management doesn't trust the employees. There is parking next to the restaurant which costs a minimum of $5. Have your...
Read moreI've been eyeing coming here since it opened with hearing mostly good thing about it. After today I'm left thoroughly let down. I will grant them that we came at a ridiculously busy time. This was the first work day after Mike Rowe gave his glowing endorsement, so the crowd was large.
The Good: The decor is cool and cowboy hip. The ordering process is fast and easy. The burger price was reasonable-ish.
The Bad: The burger patty is paper thin. I could see through the thing. Reminded me a swiss cheese it was that holey. I had more veggies by far than patty. The patty itself was flavorless and slightly burnt. Not charred, but burnt. The veggies (jalapenos & onions) were in the same boat. Slightly burnt. The fries were flavorless and hardly had a spec of salt. They were pretty spendy though. $5 for a side of fries is not great, considering you can get a burger for the same price. The pace of food leaving the grill was painstakingly slow. We waited almost an hour for food. That is a killer when you consider that the majority of people there are on their lunch break and have an hour total to spend on lunch.
Overall Im disappointed. I'll be back when the crowds die down and I can get a better chance to get a better product. For now I will stay with other nearby establishments that have provided me with a superior...
